I'm not sure about that. If you consider Lomachenko's team in a last ditch attempt to make the fight after Salido offered more, they offered him $200k (peanuts), can you imagine what they would offer to Sosa? No more than $100k - a figure Sosa would probably eclipse in a more winnable fight against a rookie.

I needed to let it out yesterday. I'm paranoid of TMT fighters when they get the title especially if they're already matched weak after winning their title 2 weeks ago. This could easily become a thing of milking the belt.

I'll bump this thread if Gervonta turns out to be the complete numpty I suspect he could be.

This gannicus guy is concerned as well he should be. I have watched the davis fight three times. Go back and listen how the crowd responds to this guy. It was like they were intouch with all his actions the went crazy at his ring gesturing, and wowed with his combinations so much so that gannicus felt threatened and hugged lomas nutts tighter.
Even after the fight in the interview when he told the announcer I been telling yall I got experience the crowed laughed in adoration. Man this pint sized dynamite could be the next darling of boxing. gannicus knows this.

Proof why did he not attach belchert who destroyted vargas stopping him in spectacular fashion. why because davis threatens his boys popularity. so the moral of the story is pride proceeds a dangerous fall into madness.

No I'm not 'threatened' by the idea of him being good, it's what I want. I don't think his potential is as high as a prime Gamboa for example. I hope he can end up being an ATG solely so Lomachenko's resume will look better once he taxes that ass.
I want boxers to be better, I feel like Mayweather and Pac's generation was an embarrassment - how many ATG's were there in that generation? A few and Pac fought most of them.

I will be a major fan of Davis if he takes on a legit opponent by his 3rd defence. Any later than that and he has milked it and I will be on the hate train unless he wins me over by sheer brilliance in the ring and constantly fighting the best.

What are you suggesting? That he wants Davis to fight Loma because everybody knows Loma will school him with ease?

Pacquiao's and Mayweather's generation had a very weak level of competition. It was essentially one division putting on historically relevant fights (the featherweight divisions) and then a decent rivalry going on at 168 pounds. Other than that it was Wlad humping and grabbing the HW contenders and Hopkins mucking up the MW division clinching weak contenders. And then there was very little else relevant on a historical sense.

    I hope this changes.

His mandatory is Liam Walsh, and thats not exactly the easiest first defence. i see what the OP is getting at but its FAR too early to be saying it

So I've been hounded: 'oh let him defend first'.
    No.
UNLESS he's defending his belt against the other beltholders or he's fighting a mandatory because he can't get a beltholders to fight him, HE IS HOLDING THE BELT HOSTAGE. Congrats for winning the belt but it's now time to vacate and let the real men fight for it. This is my official position, I don't care for mandatories unless it's the last possible option.

It seems no one here is of the ilk of a winner.

You've heard it from the horses mouth himself:
    1. He doesn't want the fight at 130
    2. He wants it at 135, 140 'some time in the future' - any fighter can say something like that.
    3. Before he takes on the other belt holders, he wants to do a series of defences against mandatories
