I'm not sorry for expecting champions to be champions. After this comment I just said, whoever disagrees with me is from the ilk of a loser. This is like a litmus test for anyone reading.

You're a piece of work. The guy is 22 he's still learning his craft if he fights a mando so be it. Yet you want to basically throw him in with Loma right now so that your hero can pick up another strap against a green fighter that's really all this is about. You have an agenda you're not fooling anyone here.:wave:When anyone with common sense already knows he's not ready for Loma yet and the fight will be much better down the line the earliest late 2018.

He just won a title and will likely be making his first defense against an undefeated mandatory. I mean, it's not the same as defending against someone like Koasicha....But I don't think he can be considered to be holding the belt hostage yet.

IDGAF that he's 22! Benitez was 17, PBF and Pac were something like 18. You and people like you is what is wrong with boxing..you justify their business decisions and glory is lost. This is a call to return to being a man.

Loma aside, I'm fed up of people like Davis, Saunders, Eubank Jr, Selby etc. holding titles hostage. I'm more fed up of the idiots like you who make this practice acceptable.

Koasicha situation is different - NO ONE was willing to fight Loma, that's why I wrote 'UNLESS he's defending his belt against the other beltholders or he's fighting a mandatory because he can't get a beltholders to fight him, HE IS HOLDING THE BELT HOSTAGE.

We're talking about a man who doesn't want to fight one of the beltholders until 135, heck, he implied he's not even keen on it at 135 so would maybe consider it at 140 (otherwise he wouldn't have mentioned 140 in the first place). Moreover, he stated he doesn't want to fight one of the other beltholders! Rather, he wants to fight a series of mandatories
    - his words, not mine.

If you're a beltholder, BE A MAN, BE A CHAMP and defend the title against the others. Your mandatories are the other beltholders, and the actual champion is the consensus champion.

He's fighting a mando next dummy get over it. He just won the strap you don't know what the future holds. Like I said this attempt to see Loma get another title that's all that this is. This is the place your hate filled thread comes from period, you're not that smart and I see right through you. If you made this thread in late 2018 and Davis still hadn't beaten anyone then I wouldn't have anything to say other than agree with you but the thread is way too premature.

Which is why Lomachenko immediately vacated at that point, and went up in weight to test himself against a larger man....

    Oh...wait.

He didn't. He faced Koasicha, instead. Instead of moving up in weight at that point, given that no proper challenges were available, that was who he elected to face.

To his credit, Loma did move up and improved his level of competition considerably after that. I guess he learned that it's best not to hold a belt hostage.

    :D

It started with Loma not being able to fight for IBF title because Gervonta is officially taking it hostage, yes certainty. I don't ultimately care if it's Loma or some TMT loser who has the belt, the beltholders must face eachother to discern who is the true champion. The true mandatories are the other belt holders. Fools like you don't care about standards.

Why on earth should he be obligated to move up? He had only just started his professional career and wanted to establish a legacy at his prime weight of 126lbs but everyone was ducking him so he had to fight another mandatory - CONTEXT, son. Davis wouldn't be vacating to move up to test himself against the larger man, but rather another mere beltholder in the same division that he goes on to duck, therefore you are in error.
