I made a thread about this many months ago, British commentary is the BEST when it comes to knockouts.

 

"Ooooh, wot a fite! Wot a punch! Massive left hand!"

 

The drab existential terror in the mans voice is what makes me chuckle every time I hear it.

It's like a ring tone I've heard a million times. Oooooh noooooo!

 

The British have a great way with the language, maybe that's just bias and I enjoy list I enjoy listening to those sometimes droll and deadpan sons of bitches.

I've found myself picking up tons of little things I've heard over the past 10+ years of really following the sport.

 

It's just such a mediocre childish exclamation, like the sort of thing you'd say to a kid who just spilled their Ribena all over their colouring book, yet at the same time delivered with such passionate angst.

It's honestly one of the funniest things I've ever heard in a boxing ring, more so given how brutal the knockout is.

 

I wouldn't say they're particularly deadpan. Quite the opposite actually. That's what makes their commentary so hilarious. They really get into it and get overexcited and say the most inappropriate things as a result.

 

I LOL'd so hard when I heard the "Oh dear oh dear oh dear" during the Teper fight. That was classic hilarious boxing commentary.
