Who would you guys like to Jermall Charlo up against at Middleweight?

I would like to think so, and I heavily favour Charlo

Canelo is a big 154lber but Charlo is a huge 154lber, miles bigger, stronger and harder hitting
Charlo is so big as soon as he goes up he will be one of the biggest 160lbers.

Charlo is a bad man, and he's the future of 160, Canelo is just a fan favourite

I know what you're thinking. You're thinking it would be nice if Lara called out and fought Charlo so one would be eliminated as a threat to Golovkin. Ain't gonna happen.

Charlo is headed to Golovkin by next year.
Like Canelo, Charlo is young, at only 26.
Unlike Canelo, Charlo is 6 foot tall with a 74" reach and the best jab Golovkin will have ever encountered. Plus, although the stats don't show it, he has more power than Golovkin.
Between Canelo and Charlo, the clock is swiftly ticking against Little g.

Charlo's team said they dont want Golovkin but they do want to fight a "rated" fighter. And they lookin at month of May.

I have no idea who they should fight first. They wont take on someone dangerous though, so probably Wade or Mora.

In the summer I'd like to see him go against Stevens, Derevyanchenko or Lemieux. Those should be all good fights

 

This thread is about Charlo at MW, so of course it's going to become a Golovkin thread. What else did you think?

 

Lara really should step up in his next fight. k he can't fight Charlo because they have the same trainer, he gets a pass on that one.

 

A fight with canelo will be great. He did call out canelo last time, but I doubt canelo will look his way for the time being, not enough name recognition at this stage.

 

I'm seriously disappointed with Lara & Rigo's managers and promoters. They've both performed a terrible job and should have been fired years ago.

Of course he should fight Golovkin immediately, and expose the Triple Bum. He would be the best middleweight on GGG's resume by far and would school GGG and knock him out. No tune ups needed for this one.

 

You are 100% correct. The 160 division is so weak and Golovkin is able to dominate it, just think what Charlo will be able to accomplish. In this weakened state Charlo would be able to set a record for 40 defences.
Hopefully, soon Hurd, Lara, and Brand will be at 160 to inject the division some much needed talent and life.

 

Stop acting like a school kid. Charlo is 26 and in no hurray. The real future middleweight super fight is going to be Charlo Vs Canelo. By the time that happens, Canelo would have been at 160 for a year or two and champion with Golovkin 3-4 in the division. Charlo will probably have 4-5 fights at MW.

 

You really believe there will be a time when Canelo will be at the top of the division, and Golovkin at 3 or 4?

 

Wade isn't anywhere near the top 10 at middleweight

 

I'd put him in with any middleweight right now.
