I honestly don't see what the fuss is about. I think Spence is very talented but is another potential Jeff Lacey. I see him getting dominated, outboxed and knocked out. Brook is too big and a level above. It's a step up and one I feel his best opponents (Algieri/Bundu) haven't adaquately prepared him for. Paulie Malinaggi says he doesn't like the way Spence reacts when he gets hurt. And he will get hurt in this fight. I got Brook by spectacular KO. I think he's got a taste of super fights after GGG and will be after the huge Khan/Canelo/Pacquaio paydays.
People will be shocked how easily Brook finds the target. Honestly once he finds his range he will tag Spence lots. Brook wins this by stoppage.
I keep changing my mind on this one so I am not going to vote. Real pick-em fight IMHO. Spence so far looks incredible, and we all know how good Brook is. Could go either way I think.
Stop bringing up Jeff Lacy... that's ancient history for crying out loud! And it doesn't look like Spence is in any way another Lacy class super overrated fighter, while Brook himself isn't Calslappy class either. But I do expect Brook to win by close decision.
Brook by stoppage late on. Can't see any other result, once Spence starts getting clipped and goes back, game over.
A bit worried that Spence might not get a fair shake if it goes the distance. Spence UD or Brook controversial SD.
Two elite talents going at it here but I got Spence by KO. Brooks best chance is to find Spences chin with a counter early, otherwise I think Spence breaks him down and stops him around the 8th or 9th.
I got Spence by KO because I excluding the weight, mentally I think Kell Brook still needs to recover from the GGG fight. However, this is such a terrific match up I wouldn;t be surprised if we see a FOTY war. Although none of the fighters are alike I think this could be a Degale/Jack sort of great even fight.
This. The scenario that Spence wins by breaking Brook down is a pretty much impossible one. If you had to create an ideal opponent for Brook to tea off on it would be a South Paw with flat feet, limited head movement and an average defence - all the things that Spence is. He's had joy in his career so far by "breaking down" smaller and fringe level fighters but Brook is an elite Welter Weight. Once Brook starts counting with lead rights and one-twos, Spence will get overwhelmed. I think this could be over in a few rounds: Brook by brutal KO
It's really a pick em fight but I think Spence takes it. Spence will get the better of Brook in the exchanges and really do his best work to Brook's body which will slow Brook down in the second half of the fight.
It all depends on 1. Can Brook make 147? 2. How badly damaged is his orbital? If both are good i got Brook After seeing what he took from Gennady, i have no doubts. no doubts at all
I'm doubtful on whether Spence has a good chin, I've seen him get rocked by a few non punchers before which raises an eyebrow. I think brook will struggle to make 147 so Brook KO or he gases out at 147 and loses by stoppage.
