Floyd would have had an easier time against Khan than he did against Maidana I. I actually agree that it's a good stylistic matchup for Khan, but he's just not as good as Floyd. Khan might win a few rounds at the start but once Floyd gets his timing right Khan will get into trouble. Floyd wasn't a big puncher esp. at 147 but I reckon he's got more than enough to put Khan's glass chin down.
You need to have power to trouble khan something Floyd never had Floyd knew khans style was bad for him
khan beat maidana up You have to have power to cause khan issues if you don't then khan will school the hell out of you
Pac was shot no way was Floyd faster then pac in his prime Khan is very fast he would get of first against floyd
Aww C'mon Kiwi You know Maidana beat Floyd in that first fight He roughed him up beat on him. Floyd wasn't used to that he was used to Cortez protecting him. Tony Weekes called it straight down the middle he let them BOTH fight. Trouble is Floyd cannot get down in the trenches & FIGHT!!! Yes Maidana broke a few rules but no one breaks rules any better than Floyd. That elbow smash he uses the holding like a limpet.that's rule bteaking too. In fight 2 Bayless stopped Maidana fighting from the start he just gave up
Nah, Khan would do his usual tiring out after 3-4 rounds, then make his usual mental mistakes. I don't think Floyd knocks him out but I believe he'd shut him out after the first quarter of the fight. Then lose a late round or two by running. Maybe, I'd bank on it being a track meet since it wouldn't be wise for Floyd to stay in range too long. Remember, Tony did that to guys who stood in front of him for twelve rounds. He's slow, he wouldn't land much on Floyd. It'd be interesting at times but boring at others. Especially against the older Floyd who'd only do what he needs to to win.
Maidana didn't give up, Floyd held so the ref could break it, he didn't hold as much in the first fight. Floyd adjusted his game, Maidana didn't. Go back and watch again. You don't even like Floyd so I don't believe you paid attention.
“Floyd ducked Margarito,” said Mayweather at the Barclays Center to promote the Jack vs DeGale fight. “Then come to find out he was cheating (Margarito was caught using illegal hand wraps vs Shane Mosley). The guy they said I was ducking and dodging was cheating. The only thing I wanted to do was be on an even playing field.” (as written by Malinowski). WAIT! WHAT? Read the last two sentences again. Mayweather is LYING! Mayweather was meant to fight Margarito from 2006-2008 - that's the fight that Arum was trying to set up. Here's the hook - No one knew about the hand wrap issues then but Mayweather is claiming that he wanted to be on an even playing field for the Margarito fight!! Conclusion - Mayweather DUCKED Tony and looked for a lie to excuse his ducking antics!
its about style match Pac/cotto/Canelo will do much better against khan because they have power but for Floyd he would not have the power to trouble him which allows khan to use his rangy shots and out box.
I would've preferred to see Amir Khan fight Floyd instead of Robert Guerrero in 2013 or Andre Berto in 2015. Surely Floyd knew he would get alot more money against Khan compared to Guerrero/Berto.
He wasn't knocked unconscious by either though was he you moron! Khan has been knocked out cold by Alvarez and that's it.
