It's good but not really that great. He did foul a lot against Kessler who was good but not that great, had already lost to Calzaghe and went on to lose to Froch Never really thought Froch was that great either tbh. Tough physically and mentally but slow and not exactly Rigo in the skill department. Dawson wasn't anywhere near his best. Got flattened by Stevenson. Many thought he lost to Kovalev. I actually had it a draw but wouldn't argue with a loss as some of the rounds were very close. Never really rated the rest of his opponents. They were decent/good but nothing to get excited about imo.
Ward beat Kovalev and made him look one dimensional. Ward gets so much irrational hatred. Ward is in the top ten of fighters I've ever seen, he is an ATG. I rate him above Floyd and Pac without a doubt.
OK, I think where we differ is that 1) I rate Froch very highly, even though I agree that he was fortunate against Dirrell, and 2) also I thought Ward won quite convincingly. How did you score the fight?
Pacquiao has a better one. As I pointed out Froch, Kessler etc were good but not that great. Dawson was a shell of his former self. Kovalev beat him according to most and the rest weren't anything worth cheering about. And I'm not saying it's not a good resume, just not as great as some make it out to be.
ok, Pacs great for sure. so who else? The thing about Ward is that he keeps facing down the man in each division hes testing. He goes for the MAN each time, no messing about with lesser titlists and then avoidance.
Taking away from Ward's resume with excuses for Kessler and Froch leaves the big question; So where does that leave Calzaghe an his wins over Hopkins and Jones? LOL. This double standard should be good!
lmao...these guys .....the bute and andre dirrell monsters now.....the boogeymen!!! i love it......the minute you start asking ggg to move up, prove something, and fight even andre dirrell....dirrell turns into the worlds biggest bum....ive never seen such clowns
No messing about? Must have been hallucinating when he took two "tune ups" No avoidance? Why isnt the Kovalev rematch about to happen?
a tune up is called a tune up because it tunes you up. You dont think someone new to a division shouldnt tune up? Should no boxer ever tune up in a new division? Nearly all of them do tune up fights actually. Should a car be tuned up for competition rally or should you just drive the same car you do for the school run? Should Usain Bolt tune up forthe Olympics or should he never bother with preceding races? Should you tune up your tv to digital or just watch a blank screen until you die of boredom? Should you tune up your radio to hear a fight commentary or just leave it buzzing away so you hear nothing? You TUNE UP everytime. YOU FLOP mate. he destroyed him first time. The biggest beating kessler ever got.
make sure you go in the other thread and threaten to ban CJ for mentioning floyd in a ggg/chavez thread
