That MW being unquestionably the weakest, that GGG needing to go after Ramirez instead of facing his mandatory and his best available challenger in Jacobs.

168 is fairly decent with de gale, smith, and ramirez, i just consider ramirez a much better opponent than jacobs, don't think it will be remotely competitive with jacobs vs golovkin

I don't agree that 168 is fairly decent but we can agree to disagree. My point is, this fight with Bursak(a guy who failed to contend at 160) shows that Zurdo isn't eager to step up in his first title defence.

how do you know that? maybe it's the best available opponent, and golovkin doesn't seem to eager to step in with ramirez

I think he just doesn't want to go up with the Canelo $$$ fight looming.

I think Ramirez is good though, he certainly has a chance of beating Golovkin at 168 lb.

A guy who failed to contend at 160 is the best available opponent for a titlist at 168, and we're to believe 160 is unquestionably the weakest division. Haha.

Ramirez not being eager to step up in his first title defence has more validity to it than GGG not being eager to face Ramirez in the future.

Bursak was supposed to fight BJS at 160 and many thought he was a cherrypick for Saunders. How is he gonna be the best available for Ramirez ? .
Its a terrible defence but whatever.
Ramirez is much bigger and stronger than BJS

what do you mean? what does ramirez fighting bursak have to do with anything, direll borhters are there, smith, de gale, groves some good names and fighters, maybe ramirez couldn't secure a fight with any of those guys so had to settle with bursak, how does that prove in anyway that 160 isn't a weak division? i don't understand what your trying to say at all

It doesn't prove that MW isn't a weak division, but It supports the point that It really isn't weaker than 168. And Bursak really isn't the best available challenger, even Korobov who's also with Top Rank would've presented a much better challenge. And there're several more SMW's who are ranked by WBO who don't have a fight scheduled.

yeh korobov would have been alot better than bursak, but we don't know, maybe korobov doesn't want to fight at 168, I'd definitely say 168 is alot stronger than middleweight though

We'll have to agree to disagree with the division comprasion, and I'm willing to give Zurdo a pass since this is his first title defence, second one will make his intentions clearer.

It would be 2 fringe MW's in a row for Ramirez but he injured his hand and didn't get to cherry pick Dominik Britsch lol

you can say what you want but what i said was on the money, 160 is not a strong division whether you want it to be or not, may be one of the weakest in boxing
