In a thread about Khan wanting to fight Peterson I noticed people's top 10 WW's seemed to vary wildly. Here's mine. Who makes your list? 1. Brook 2. Thurman 3. Pacquiao 4. Bradley 5. Garcia 6. Spence 7. Porter 8. Khan 9. Vargas 10. Chaves/Peterson/Broner - take your pick but at a push I'd prob go for Chaves
Good list, I wouldn't have Khan in the top 10 tho. He is on a level with Berto, Guerrero, Ortiz etc...that kind of fighter.
I hear you although I'd pick him to beat those three at this point in their careers. Ghost is literally a ghost of himself, Ortiz would prob quit after being outboxed for a few rounds and Berto would prob get bamboozled whilst having a chance of landing that one big shot. The three I've got at my number 10 could all arguable be above him though and all have a decent chance at icing him.
Based on him having a title and Spence having beaten no-one of any real note yet despite looking good beating the people he has on his way up. Spence has his chance to leapfrog the rest of my list soon enough though!
Can, and be honest, any of the current crop of welters get an above board win over Pacqioua? Do any of them have the CV to make a claim as to having earned a higher ranking? 1. Pac 2. Thurman 3. Brook 4. Porter 5. Peterson 6. Spence 7. Vargas 8. Bradley 9. Garcia 10. Broner(if he is indeed a WW again)
I think Brook, Thurman and potentially Spence have the ability to really do a number on this version of Pac. I think him beaten Vargas says more about Vargas than it does about himself.
You can't go gung ho about CV's and then leave Khan off the top 10, on resume alone he should be ranked higher than Porter
1. Pacquiao 2. Garcia 3. Thurman 4. Brook 5. Khan 6. Bradley 7. Spence 8. Porter 9. Vargas 10. Peterson
Porter prob runs straight through Khan though. Stylistically that looks a horrible match up for Amir. Most fights at 147 do which is why he should just take the Brook fight and then hang 'em up with plenty of money in the bank if he loses.
Interesting to see people put Peterson higher than I did. I don't see how picking up a paper title helps his cause that much.
Khan might just Brook him like he did Collazo Collazo has proved to be a decent win Maidana has more punching power than Porter and Khan survived him. I feel Bradley is on the decline he's been in a few wars Vargas isn't that good but his resume is worthy of top 10 I feel Khan already did beat Peterson but in the book it was an L Thurman, Garcia , Brook, Pacman and Spence are all very difficult but maybe not impossible.
