Does Golovkin punch harder than Marciano?

    So many of us have heard the stream of testimonials that Golovkin can hit as hard or harder than modern heavyweights. Even one mutual sparring partner adamanet that GGG punches harder than Povetkin.

    Do you guys think that Golovkin punches harder than Rocky? Or does Rocky punch harder than Golovkin?

    And as a bonus, how does your answer reflect Rockys prospects in todays division given the glowing testimonials for the 160lb power puncher?

    I'm going to have to lean towards Marciano but I don't think by a whole lot!

    Rez your asking how Rocky fares in middleweight or heavyweight today?

    In a word, no!

    Golovkin hits plenty hard but Marciano was a bigger man throwing his entire body into his shots. I don't see how it could be possible.

    Yes he hits much harder than Marciano, is also stronger and has better stamina and footwork ,but if he had fought in the 50's he would have been a bantamweight.

    Golovkin is rumoured to be beating up guys Marciano actually WAS beating up.

    I love Golovkin. But, no way he hits as hard as Marciano. No way!

    Those testimonials make me wonder: Are there many modern heavyweights who hit hard enough knock out Kassim Ouma or Martin Murray?? :buenrollo:

    One thing that strikes me from fighters who have sparred with GGG is that he carries the same heavy handed power late.
