To me, he's a HOF'er. E Kovalev (E for even, against an ATG LHW) W Kessler W Froch W Abraham - all elite names W Barrera W Dawson W Miranda W Bika - all good names
Ward has the best resume of any current active MW, SMW, LHW or HW. Only a few WW like Pac and JMM and an old RJJ have equally deep resumes.
So Ward's only criticisms are that he ducked Bute, lmao...didn't fight his friend, and that he lost to Kov. I can live with that lol...
Calm down, all I said was "a little past prime", I thought the younger Kessler was a bit better. Still a very good win. P.S. If you were reading carefully I was defending Ward, not attacking him!
Yeah, that's some weak ass disclaimer BS. As if Kessler had been in a lot of prior wars to be used up. How Kessler, AA, and Froch were favorites to win the S6 tells you alot about how much boxing the forecasters actual knew.
Younger??? Its like calzaghe is the only guy that will get props for beating him Wasnt no talk of him losing a step or getting old & the lose to calzaghe wasnt that long ago He still was the top guy was supposedly in his prime & had the same respect & hype he had going into the ward fight as he had going into the calzaghe fight Plus he went on to beat froch even though i had froch winning Ward is just better & would beat any version of kessler in the same fashion minus the headbutts
Yes, Kessler was actually the favourite for the Super 6 until he lost to Ward. And I agree that a peak Ward beats any version of Kessler (but he does fight a bit dirty, let's be honest). I just don't think the Kessler of the Ward fight was the very best of Kessler. It was still a top class win of course.
You forgot to include Calzaghe, especially the pre-Hopkins/Jones version. You a Golovkin fanboy and have time to talk about other boxer's resumes?
