Some people are saying Lara is a bigger draw and sold more PPVs than Golovkin, ~400k against Canelo so if we compare them head to head keeping the same opponent constant (Canelo) which fight generates more numbers?

Of course not. The public want Canelo-GGG, and no other fight will do (ok, they want McGregor-Mayweather too :rolleye: ).

Lara would be lucky if he was the undercard for a hog calling contest in Oriente. How the hell could anyone think he is a draw?

Who is saying that? How many people would rather pay to watch Lara run around the ring fighting as defensively as possible than a guy who has knocked out his last, what 23?, opponents? I can understand why people don't like Golovkin or might prefer Lara as a boxer but that just defies any reasonable logic IMO. Maybe I'd rather pay to see Canelo vs Lara than GGG vs Wade but Canelo vs GGG? No way in hell does that do less ppvs

No way just talkin about that fight gets folk going,it's mental on news 24 you'll get a handful of comments for each article but when it's about those two the comments go through the roof and I think where did all those come from?
PPV days seem to have slided down from what Mayweather and Pac was getting so much so that 300.000 is seen as good nowadays but I'm sure that fight would do three times that at least?
