Ward has a bigger fan base than Golovkin, is more popular and recognized a higher rated P4P.
Plus, if an opponent calls Ward out on TV, Ward doesn't wimp out and he personally responds, Immediately.
Ward>Lil g, and everyone knows it.

The fight will be bigger than any Golovkin has ever been in. Mission accomplished.

Problem is, all them feet sharing the ring with Golovkin were enclosed in shoes from the kid's department. Size 8s.

Just stop. Ward does not have a bigger fanbase than GGG. If that were the case he would be making more money but he isn't. P4P has absolutely no bearing on what kind of financial draw someone is. If that was the case then Roman Gonzalez would be one of the highest paid fighters in the sport.

Golovkin's highest paycheck was a flat fee, in the UK, against a welterweight who was the A-Side in the fight.
Ward earned the same for fighting Kovalev, the unified LHW champion and acknowledged, Most dangerous man in the sport.

Gonzalez realizes his fan base is larger than Golovkin's and why he asked for more money and to be taken off of Golovkin undercards and elevated to main event status. They did as Gonzalez requested and then gave him more money to help boost Golovkin-Jacobs on the undercard.

Canelo, Ward, Lara and Gonzalez all have bigger fan bases than Golovkin.

Well, the man, ODLH has just come out and firmly stated that the deal he offered Golovkin is the best deal that Golovkin will see, and it won't be sweetened beyond what was offered.
The deal, according to Oscar is a fee + PPV and is the most money Golovkin has ever earned or will ever earn.

Oscar states that the ball is in Golovkin/K2's court to accept the deal and take the money, or keep fighting nobodies for the pay he has been receiving.
It is what it is. Take it or leave it.
    Golovkin/K2, whatcha gonna do?

You lot need to make up your minds, first it was a "smart business move" not to fight Golovkin, then it's the weight, then it's money, then it's PPV sales, then world wide audience.

Golovkin was rightly criticised for fighting Brook, I didn't like that fight, but it was a huge money PPV fight and easy money, it raised his profile here in the U.K. and around Europe and got people talking. I still don't like it but it was what it was.

Canelo is now fighting what we all know will be a weight completely drained Chavez Jr who can't make 168 in a huge money making exercise, a high profile fight in his own country.

What's the difference? Size? Chavez will be so drained Canelo will be basically punching a corpse, Brook wasn't weight drained but outweighed. Both Golovkin and Canelo have huge advantages but Canelo gets a pass? You lot should be hammering Canelo for this fight just like you were hammering Golovkin for Brook.

You Canelo apologists have to be consistent but you are not, you change your minds daily, whatever suits the day or the latest news.

Fartist is confusing paycheck with fanbase.

They are not one and the same.

Ward essentially ripped off his promoter for the Kovalev fight, who beat him into retirement.

That's the only title that matters. All other titles, including the ones Bumlovkin currently parades around with, are made of paper..

Is it Canelo's fault that Bumlovkin can't find his pen to sign the contract that would pay him $15 mil dollars?

If this fight is due to rake in over 100 million Dollars and Canelo is the A side and GGG has no fanbase, Why dont all Canelo fights bring this amount of money in? Whats making it grow so much if its nothing to do with GGG?

There's nothing imaginary about the fact that there can only be one champ in a given division. In order to BE the Man you have to BEAT the Man.

    Exactly WHO has Bumlovkin beaten?

I state again, Ward has a much larger fan base than Golovkin. Period.
