Kovalev did not LOSE!!! Ward got a decision 80 % of the boxing fraternity think he did not deserve . Ward knows in his heart he did not deserve. If he was a man he'd be chomping at the bit to end the controversy. Sadly the Prima Donna wussies have taken over the sport No wonder fans view it in the same light as WWE wrestling
Ward just playing the waiting game because he can. He's showing Kovalev just what he thinks of him. Kov says jump and all kov hears is crickets chirping. Ward just chilling with that thick Afro-American beauty he calls his wife and those angels he calls his children and all the while Kov is sitting by the phone praying the next call will from Ward, granting him the privilege to be in the ring with him once again. Oh yes, Ward is calling the shots and Kov has to take what is given to him by boss man Ward. You watch, Ward's going to tell Kovalev when the fight is taking place, where it is taking place, how much or little Kov is to be paid, who the ref is going to be, what gloves to wear and what time the fight will take place. That being said, Kov by knock out!!! LOL
LOL I love all that rage!!! Hope the rematch is as good as the first fight! Ward pulled off a close victory. Hopefully Kovalev isn't too wasted away by the time Ward decides to grant him the privilege of fighting him again. You think Kov will get paid less this time around since he is the loser going into the rematch. I know Ward will get more this time, even if the purse is the same. They'll just take a bigger cut from the Krusher's share. Which I think is fair, since he was the loser in the first fight. Ward showed some brass, coming up off the floor and rallying back into the fight. I thought Kov edged him out, but those judges saw it differently than I did. I was happy Ward got the decision! It's what the crazy and sometime racist Kovalev fans get for being so nasty in the build up to the fight! I'm sure some of the Kov fans will be even more hate filled in the lead up to the rematch, in which case I will be routing for Ward once again. Ward 1 - Kovalev 0.
What's the pattern here? Why do certain fighters careers stay put while depending on another man for a check??
Ward got the hometown decision and will wait for Kovalev to move on before making his next move. The fight was great for the boxing fans but numbers-wise it bombed. Ward made out with a cool 5 million while Kovalev got $2million (I think) and his promoter probably lost money. In the rematch the fighters won't get as much $ and to Ward it's not worth risking taking an L over. Like mentioned earlier he is in the driver's seat because he has all the titles. Kovalev should take a paycut to entice Stevenson into the ring and get the WBC title. A fight in which Kovalev would imo be a significant favorite. Then the rematch just might make the right kind of sense $$$.
Yep Kov's used to fighting 3 times a year, he'll be lucky to fight twice. I couldn't give two ****s about Ward, he can retire but stalling Sergey's career is disgraceful.
Do you see a big PPV in the middle of summer ? I dont If it happens it will be in June The next ppv month will be September and thats Canelo's PPV month, so its a no go for hbo
Ward has damn near pass the Bar Exam from that Goossen beef,he will win in court too. I'm starting to believe that he wishes a mutha****a would take him to court. He is mad at the system at HBO for trying to set him up to lose. He doesn't give a **** anymore. That will just cripple the effort put into Kovalev's career, because Ward's accomplishments are set in history already.
Ward is a tremendous fighter, who's had an excellent career - and I wouldn't care in the slightest if he retired.
