Ah, Rico, not spoke to you in a year and how about this, we agree.

I wouldn't watch this if boxing was being banned on Sunday. This fight is - what's that word you often use? - a "disgrace".

Actually, that's not true, I will watch it the day after if Wilder loses.

It's an improvement actually. Far better than the Wawrzyk fight, the first scheduled opponent.

Aye, but it's a question of heaping misery upon misery. The more unranked dudes he fights, the worse it gets, regardless of the detail. Guy has fought one ranked guy and people already want to talk about his legacy.

    Chisora has a greater legacy.

I just am tired of the handpicked opponents by Wilders Team. He has 37 fights and only one was against a consensus top 10 opponent (Stiverne). Way past time for him to be fighting legit top 10 contenders. The hilarious thing his Washington as bad and inexperienced as he is is actually better than the original opponent Wilder had lined up.

Hopefully Ortiz will get the mandatory spot this year and show us all what Wilder is really made of.

No reason to think he'd take it, really.

I could be wrong Blizzyblizz but I thought Szpilka was ahead on some judge (s) cards. If I'm wrong...one thing I am certain about is that Szpilka is not one of the greats and in no way should have been doing as well as he was. When compared to the greats....Wilder is just sadly lacking and leaves one wanting to see a higher caliber of fighter.

Washington is a guy who doesn't belong anywhere near a championship bout. Against Mansour, a fight in which he was gifted a draw. He consistently threw out a jab and then retracted it faster than he threw it, while also moving backward in retreat, over and over. It was a clear represntation of a fighter who has extremely limited experience and is basically acting/reacting according to the coach's instructions, rather than his/her own natural instinct or experience. I can't see him lasting more than 4-6 rounds against a power puncher like Wilder, or winning even a few rounds against a skilled operator like Fury in a 12 round fight.

I would love for Washington to beat him, because Wilder's such an arrogant twit, but I dont think its going to happen.
