Gavin is starting to go inside with some nice movement, and it is bothering Vargas, but still Vargas is landing more and doing more of the classier work.. it's shaping up nicely.

Vargas giving the judges a chance to score rounds to McDonnell the last couple of rounds...

    Round 4 Vargas 10-9

Gavin darts out of his corner with a lot of frenetic energy, Vargas retreating landing his jab with regularity, Vargas jabs his way in lands looping left hook to the ribs, lead right from Vargas, Gavin trying to pin Vargas, he slips away, Gavin pulling Vargas' head down again, and again, Vargas lands two looping rights, Gavin corners Vargas, Vargas lands hook slips away, Gavin lands right, Gavin eats overhand from Rey, and another overhand.

    Round 7

Mcdonnell took some nasty shots in that round, but Mcdonnell should still force Vargas to box
    Vargas 10-9

Yeah Vargas is like miles ahead and far better in this fight. Idk in my country we get to watch for free all the fights hosted by Hearn in the UK and the commentators are not kinda in to boxing at all.

Gavin McDonnell vs. Rey Vargas 12 Rounds @ Super Bantamweight

Round 1. Vargas 10-9. Good round for Vargas, clearly on top although nothing major landed.
Round 2. Vargas 10-9. A bit closer, but Vargas did the better work again.
Round 3. Vargas 10-9. Very much like Round 1. Vargas warned for a low blow, I sense point deduction coming.
Round 4. Vargas 10-9. Closest round so far, but Vargas still winning it. McDonnell pushed Vargas to the ground midway through.
Round 5. McDonnell 10-9 very very close. Basically a pick 'em round, I'm pretty sure it went to McDonnell
    Round 6. Vargas 10-9 close.
Round 7. Vargas 10-9. Good round for Vargas, won this one clearly.

    R1 Vargas 10-9
    R2 McDonnell 10-9
    R3 Vargas 10-9
    R4 Vargas 10-9
    R5 McDonnell 10-9
    R6 Vargas 10-9
    R7 Vargas 10-9

Vargas keeping range with the jab, finding he can land the left hook. Vargas finding out he can counter off the back foot and shoot the jab and win the rounds easier. Right hands and uppercuts starting to land for Vargas. Mcdonnell following and eating clean punches will not doing much.
