Why do people say Wilder windmills, from what I see, it's crisp combination punching.

He has a little akwardness to his punches, but other then that he has good form and technique.

 

I have given him props in the past for his windmill punches. They are the best I have seen since the 6th grade. And.......those were thrown by a girl.

 

don't worry about it MVC, I am sure they are referring to his early days when he got over excited after hurting someone and missed a few huge telegraphed shots, that's what rookies do, because Wilder is so long and fast it just looked a little crazier than usual, no big deal, haven't seen him do that since. He is fighting with more control these days.

 

That French pastry didn't mind them too much. Kept coming after Burger like terminator

Wilders definitely refined his punching technique I'll give him that much, but if you can't see why he earned that rep in the first place you're either blind or in denial....

 

His technique and combinations looked better in his last 3 fights but I wouldn't show the Harrison fight. Technique, combinations, variations really looks terrible in there.

Wilder is a knockout waiting to happen. This was his 5th title defense in a row! Why was that? What are they hiding?

 

I would agree that Wilder's "windmills" are actually better than people generally acknowledge.

What Wilder seems to do is wait until a guy shows weakness/is wobbled, then he just goes all out with a flurry of shots. I think this is actually a respectable decision. It's called finishing. Now it's not a flawless strategy, but nothing is.

Absurdly, I recently saw some idiotic post claiming that Wilder didn't know how to finish. I'd say the exact opposite -- finishing is one of the things Wilder is quite adept at. Wilder knows how to exploit weakness and take the advantage.

That said.

He break his hands and injures himself a lot. And it's because of these "windmills."

That's not okay.

 

Did you see those wild swings in the end of round 5? I am not saying he is a windmill but I heard a tall lanky man with a latino sidekick are riding their steeds forth to fight him.

 

Correct, as in he's one of the best finishers in the game. He doesn't back off and give opponents chances to recover. He goes straight for the kill. Anyone who doesn't see that dksab.

But I don't blame him for his hands breaking, there's many stories of boxers in the past breaking their hands constantly because their body/hands can't take the power being dished out.

It's the same as Naz Hamed, he said his hands kept breaking and that's the reason why he retired. His body/hands just couldn't handle the power generated by them.

 

I think that's a little silly. With better technique, I think he could generate similar power without so much injury.
