Washington 14 amateur fights, no amateur achievements, 18-1 pro record. Vitali 195-15 amateur record, amateur gold medalist, 35-1 kickboxing record, 45-2 pro record, three time world champion. Yes I see the similarities between the two. Lol!
What? Wilder looked like the 14 amateur fight, ex college football player, started boxing at 29 years old, only 19 pro fights novice. Washington looked like the more skilled, experienced, seasoned boxer and was dominating the fight with his jab but was caught by a wild ass lucky punch by the novice. Thats what someone would think who watched the fight with no background information on either fighter.
Wilder had no answer for that jab. he couldn't handle it at all cause he needs to learn how to box. I wish he would get better but so far he's not. He'll keep knocking out bums but the first smart bum with a jab that can weather Wilder's windmill storm will easily beat wilder with something as simple as a decent jab
The truth is Wilder regularly gets into competitive and broderline dangerous matches with guys that he's supposed to DOMINATE. That just goes to show the "champion" Wilder is living on borrowed time.
