I'd feel better if I didn't read your recent posts, sugar. You've really let your standards slip. Boasting about living in LA, and how many exercises you can do...that's bad enough ..but calling Ali a " moron" really is the pits. What's got into you? Please stop.

 

I don't live in LA, I visited it and didn't like it so it's hardly how you described. I'm also in comparatively awful shape these days - I was referencing a point when I 18!

I think Ali whilst a superb boxer said somethings that were despicable and by today's standards he'd be reviled for them. I can't praise him and condemn Fury that'd make me a hypocrite. There is also an overwhelming case to be made for Ali being intellectually sub-normal whilst accusing others of idiocy, the way he spoke to certain people was totally unacceptable and he should have been called out on it. Whilst the boxing community tries to paint him as very bright the evidence is very much to the contrary.

As for reading my posts Len, feel free to put me on ignore. I'm not fussed as I lost all respect for your integrity when you defended a murderous gang of drug dealing thugs.

 

I dont want to ignore you Sugar -I just want you to make better posts - not rubbish like calling Ali a 'moron'. Please edit your post to remove all reference to Furey in the same paragraph as Muhammad Ali. That would be a start.

I think you're really starting to embarrass yourself here Len. Fury and Ali were both heavyweight champions of the world and both have/had controversial views. There are obvious parallels and my opinion on Ali's intelligence level won't change. I'm not sure why people feel the need to pump up every part of a fighter they like. Of course I respect him as a fighter and all of his exploits inside the ring. That doesn't change the fact he could be pretty unpleasant outside of it whilst making a lot of stupid decisions. The evidence that his intelligence was below average is there for anyone to see.

Now, if you want to go and lecture someone else that'd be great as I'm not interested in taking any kind of criticism or advice from a man who's moral compass is so askew as to think accepting the money of people destroying lives with drug trade and all the violence that comes with it is acceptable.

If you want to play dumb to the Kinahan Cartel's many crimes and their links to MGM now MTK then be my guest but don't expect the rest of us to go along with it, if you want to look into the many reports describing all this then google is your friend. All Kinahan money is drug money. Even their legitimate interests were/are funded by the drug trade. No self respecting person would have anything to do with them.

You've defended Daniel Kinahan on here to me, saying he shouldn't be judged for the crimes of his father despite him being very much involved with the criminal enterprise before now taking the outfit over and his overt links to Macklin's company.

You're wilfully turning a blind eye to what you can see is right in front of you due to nationalistic bias. Quite frankly I find that disgusting.

 

Its not 'nationalistic bias' Sugar. Innocent until proven guilty. I have been around long enough to know better than to swallow everything in the media. I want proof of guilt. Too many times Ive seen injustice..and its still happening today ... due to overly hasty people leaping to conclusions. But now as time goes on it IS increasingly hard to see how a young guy like Daniel K is funding an ever-growing stable - (including it must be said, many Irish boxers) - without big money behind him.....sadly it seems the balance is now swinging in favour of your view. But remember- we still have no proof. But quite a while back you leapt to that view too early, too hastily, and without proof. As for calling Ali a 'moron'...dear oh dear. Totally unacceptable. Bang out of order, Sugar in fairness. I make no apologies for pulling you up on it.

Of the two of us, my offence of waiting to see clarity and justice done is by far the lesser. No offence.

 

The evidence is overwhelming, if you want to play blind man fine, go for it. I just hope no-one close to you ever gets their world torn apart by the actions - directly or indirectly- of these amoral villains for their own personal gain.

 

The drugs crowd are dreadful I agree - no arguments there. We just need to be careful that the boxing people we are talking about are in fact involved, thats all.

 

I used to like Macklin and understand how people get their head turned by money but getting into bed with that lot is utterly reprehensible. If you take their money then you are involved. Everyone knows what they do, they don't even try to hide it.

 

I was always a huge fan of Macklin myself. Our significant anniversary fell on the night of a Macklin fight and a very cheesed off Mrs Len lost out I'm afraid. Seems a top guy outside the ring, pleasant polite articulate in interviews etc. He studied law for a bit, his sister is a lawyer. Might be a bit fond of the sauce but thats the Irish for you. I find it amazing he would knowingly get involved with anything blatantly illegal horrible and despicable. Thats why I am hoping against hope that the son is not about his fathers business....if you catch my drift.
