So has much of the forum. Cuban heavyweights are notorious for their lack of commitment upon joining the pros. Solis' pro career has been one of the biggest letdowns in not just the HW division but boxing as a whole. Solis was a great amateur, but as pro he's been a fat joke. The same has been true even with Perez but to a lesser extent. Perez lost fights he should have won due to his lack of dedication, like Jennings and Takam(draw but I thought Takam won) Ortiz is the only one who's actually had good success, but he's a late bloomer. Alfonso needs to get the ball going, that's all I'm saying. So quit being a defensive fanboy.

I think his stamina let him down more than his chin to be honest. His chin isn't great, but he was really beat going into the 5th. As you know, exhaustion makes getting up and riding out knockdowns even harder. He can come again... Needs to work on his defense, stamina and learn to pace himself. Despite the loss his stock has increased a bit as well, people will want to see him fight again after such an exciting fight. So even though it's a bad loss and a bit of a momentum killer as far his contention status, it has certainly helped build his profile.

Yes, that's very true on both counts.

You are just too one sided on Cuban heavyweights, you didn't give one positive example fan princess. So,be a good fan princess and come up with something better next time.

Except I just mentioned Ortiz. Quit being a butthurt confrontational drama queen, you're usually not like this. Chill out.

So I remember about a year or 2 back some people were talking about an undefeated heavyweight from somewhere down in South America. They were referring to him as the "next Mike Tyson." I don't recall his name and was wondering how far he made it before being exposed. Anybody know who I'm talking about?

I'm bringing the news but yeah,I want to see how Haye knocks Bellew out.No, Bellew is talking too much of a crap, but at the same time, he hasn't done much.

I think you mean young George Arias who is no longer with Top Rank.He is still undefeated, but Top Rank wasn't keeping him busy.
