Good fight to raise the profile of boxing with one established and one reasonably established name in boxing. But please do not let Amir Khan fool you into thinking he has any level of British support. In fact, a fight in the UK would be more pro-pac than khan...

 

I'm british and support him..that's all he needs.

I'm wondering who is going to show up in the UAE to watch either...

 

if this was in manchester i wont lie id only be going to see an ATG in action and would be a manny fan........ Khan has lost a lot of fans over here rightly or wrongly about his diva'ish antics with him and his team

Edit* im not "hating" on khan hes always in exciting fights so i'll always give his fight a watch but he isnt this huge star that he thinks he is, i think his 'social media' numbers exaggerate the actual following he has who would turn up for fights etc, didnt they have to give tickets away with toys to his fight with alexander?

 

Yeah his big profile is probably down to him being really the only south east asian muslim boxer at the highest level (Vijender singh is still a work in progress...)

Brook is the higher rated WW and has a world title. Yet because Khan is more popular he should get more money.

Bigger draw, but vastly inferior fighter. When their careers are both said and done one will be remembered and it ain't gonna be Glass Jawed Khan.

Khan, and his fans are like a bad joke that they don't realise they are part of.

This is a very boring fight, a mismatch that won't generate much interest. Khan is now a journeyman who the bigger names want to fight because they know it's an easy fight for a decent payday.

Sad really but Khan's career has been smoke and mirrors.

Less than 3k turned up for the Maidana fight!
vs Algieri they actually played 'atmosphere' over the tannoy system because it was like a morgue!
when he fought Diaz in Sheffield the arena was less than half full with Khan supporters probably making up 1/4 of that,which btw Khan was pretty lucky to get the win imo...
