You are talking out your ass crack. Half dead Holy??? LoL. The man attacked Bowe like an animal in that fight and was one of the best looking Evanders that ever fought. The agility , the crisp counter punching , the jab , speed , foot work was something else. A lesser version of Holy battered Tyson twice. Vander made the mistake of thinking he could finish Bowe after he knocked him down and went all out in a frenzy. The problem there is that when you hurt Bowe he comes back at you stronger and stronger , which Holy found out the hard way by getting pummelled to the first stoppage loss of his career. Nobody finished off Bowe , not even a Tyoko Douglas version of Golota in two fights vs a badly faded , under prepared Riddick Bowe
foreman weighed 225 against Norton in his absolute peak and bowe weighed 235 in his peak shape vs evander 1 , bowe looked a pig over 235. so not ****ing ******ed, he did not outweight foreman for 20 pounds
Really? Heard Riddick talk lately? His defence was pure garbage hence him being washed up by the time he was 29 years old and with zero fights against big punching opposition. You couldn't miss the big lug with a punch and that largely applied for his entire career. You name the big punching heavies of the 90's and you have Lewis, Tyson, Foreman, Bruno, McCall, Mercer, Morrison, Moorer and what distinguishes them is that Bowe fought precisely none of them. He was the most carefully managed fighter of the 90's whose resume minus Holyfield is garbage. Hell even George who admitted carefully managing his second career fought more big, dangerous punchers. Bowe had some qualities but not as many as guys like you reckon. He gets overhyped for wars with a smaller older guy who fought dumb but doesn't get the scrutiny warranted for avoiding every single dangerous puncher of his era, bullsh1t displays like the Donald and Mathis fights and for getting the crap beaten out of him and ruined by a not all that fighter in Andrew Golota. Foreman murders him.
it is for the poor ticar golota gave bowe a complete beating and i suspect that any version of bowe would struggle with golota.on the other hand a young foreman destroys golota very early. bowe won the third fight with holyfield because evander was sick of the heart and he did not have the stamina at that moment to finish him, bowe did nothing in history but beating holyfield a guy who was naturally much smaller and he had stylistical advantage over him. he looked complete trash against golota when he was only 28 and lewis knocked golota the **** out in a single round lmao, bowe got dropped like a pathetic pig fat and he looked fat and soft when he weighed 245 pounds .Even a shot Tyson looked great vs Golota compared with bowe. He left his belt because he was scared to death to face lewis, a coward with all the letters. Sorry if i hurt your fellings but bowe did nearly nothing in history
How did Bowe do against Ron Lyle? Infact, according to Bowes own words, Cooper had him out on his feet (or was it Hide?) Give Frazier an extra 10 pounds, 20 pounds, whatever. Hes still getting sparked. That weight wont make a difference. Just like Amir Khan going up in weight, didn't improve his chin.
In the 3rd bowe fight holyfield looks VERY good for about one round and then he just completely ran out of gas, there was talk of stopping the fight, george foreman said holyfield was going to end in a pine box, the doctors came into his corner and say they don't want holyfield to take any punishment. Holyfield came out of the comer, put him down with one punch and went back to throwing no punches and not defending himself. Infect when bowe got up he was backed into a corner, defenseless an out of it any decent heavyweight would have finished him but holyfield stood there looking at him for 20 seconds not doing ANYTHING as if he was having an asthma attack. Something was wrong with him that night, he later said it was hepatitis. Bowe deserves zero credit for the 3rd fight, he got dominated until holyfield "gassed" and still got put down. Holyfield collapse more from exhaustion than bowe's punches anyone with a brain who actually watched the fight can see that. I think you need to watch the the 3rd fight again
ok then bowe weigh in 245 destroying the tough jesse ferguson in 2 rounds in his his absolute peak, so again there is 20 lbs on foreman... bowe was just bigger accept it you foreman fan boy. who cares if bowe looked soft, bowe could go 12 hard rounds and had much better stamina therefore boxing conditioning than 220 lbs foreman who often gassed after few rounds... foreman should have weigh in around 210 if he wanted to have better stamina hehe
Just for the record I actually think this is a 50/50 bowe vs young george because bowe has longer arms and george can't do anything about bowe's jab and straight right without head movement or proper defense. Bowe just has to stay away for 5 rounds but george could knock him out cold with one punch, and if he was getting picked apart from long range I think he or his corner would have the self awareness to start rushing in with bombs, if one of them lands bowe is going down like he did vs evander in the 3rd fight but he won't get up
foreman was knocked down by jimmy young , what is his excuse, running out of gas? bowe ran out of gas against golota, a big hard punching guys and still fought despite eating devastating combos and nut shots, foreman would be out cold if he was there instead of bowe... considering the fact ali ko'd him with a single combination when he got tired, and jimmy young knocked him down ffs bowe would have a field day with foreman's non exsistent defense and would easily slip his telegraphed slow mummy punches... he rolled, slipped, and countered the peak fast evander, he would destroy bowe in the exchanges
not a bad post, good considering your previous one... i disagree about one punch from foreman, first nooe is knocking out big daddy wit one punch, second foreman punches were slow and telegraphed bowe would have see the coming, and if he would not manage to slip them, he would be prepared to take them... like they say, the hardest punch is the one you don't see... golota was big, strong and was ripping combos on a shot bowe who had no gas tank, and couldn't get him out of there... what a tough warrior bowe is, unlike foreman who got knocked down by jimmy young when got tired
Foreman was too wild and anxious that's why his stamina was crap not his weight. Bowe is maybe slightly bigger but not by much. Foreman could have been 235 with not much fat as well but his trainers didn't want it, Gil Clancy used to keep him away from the heavybag because he would even grow muscles from that. Bowe at his best was a better more complete fighter than YOUNG george. But bowe's very average chin and George's power is why I think it's a 50/50 fight. I'm not sure if bowe can move/run from george either, tht wasn't really his style. He liked to engage. Not sure bowe's inside game would be a factor either george liked to push and shove to create distance for his big swings. He probably wouldn't manhandle bowe like he did Frazier but if george pushes bowe he will still create distance even if he just pushes himself back
it was against hide, and he was past it by then... he still ko'd him easily and never went down, unlike foreman against ali, lyle and the winner- jimmy young
nobody is debating stamina here, bowe had more stamina than foreman but it has nothing to do with their natural weights, in fact tua was a pork at 240 pounds and even at that weight he had great stamina.Frazier always had great stamina also overweight or not. Bowe at 245 pounds was fat and overweight independently of the stamina. Bowe was at highest 10 pounds heavier of foreman and i will tell you why... bowe fought in a modern era trained some weights and young foreman did not even push ups until 1976(said by himself). also bowe was 6'4 1/2 (he was not a full 6'5) and Foreman 6'3 1/2, a little difference of height it explain the little difference of weight between them, but Foreman was naturally "bigger" ,wider stronger frame and musculature. Foreman weighed close to the 230 pounds since he was 18-19 and then he reduced his weight in his pro career in order to adapt his stamina to longer fights. however bowe weighed 216 at 21-22 and he was a fatty guy who loved eating at was all
