Okay...232 and Bowe was 246 in Holyfield 2. Foreman was listed 6'3" many times including the Rumble in the Jungle. http://www.boxing.com/images/sized/images/articles/evander_holyfield_1993_11_06-530x317.jpg He was certainly carrying extra pounds, not unlike Foreman at 230 against Young. http://media.gettyimages.com/photos/heavyweight-boxing-george-foreman-in-action-throwing-punch-vs-jimmy-picture-id81476561 Younger days means nothing. Foreman was better fed as a younger is all that means. They had the same listing when they fought and in the ring, Ali actually appeared to be taller. So? Foreman was a bigger amateur. At "Rumble in the Jungle" they were separated by 4 pounds with Ali having the greater listed wingspan. That's a fact. What's laughable is you comparing weights when these men were teenagers to justify who was bigger in the future. That is totally wrong. It depends on the point in time, but during their primes, Bowe is always going to be listed 2 inches taller , with a 3 inch wingspan, and a heavier weight range on average.
Yea that's like saying tyson is bigger than Bowe and lewis cause he was heavier than them when they were teenagers Some people mature early, some later Bottom line is foreman in his first career was smaller than the shws that would come later like bowe, lewis etc...
Probably the strongest man ever to box. Certainly no body beautiful. I want you to prove Carnera was way stronger than Lewis as you state he was. All you are going by is cosmetic looks ,its totally ridiculous. Below is the strongest man ever to box, in fact he was for many years the strongest man in the world! I don't get this obsession with bigger. Right now I'm bigger than Sergey Kovalev, if I lose two stone I'm no longer bigger than Sergey Kovalev.
It has everything to do with his power of punch. When you're a power puncher you carry your strength more than an outside fighter who uses the jab. And it manifests itself in the clinch. This is why Dempsey wasn't getting rag dolled by Willard. It's also the same reason Foreman could push people back with such ease.
I'm bigger than Kovaelv, but there's no way I'm getting in the ring with him, he just seems like he's another weight class of power. His punches would likely take my head off. That don't mean he's bigger, but he's certainly stronger as a boxer. I would rather cut my comfortable healthy weight and fight someone smaller to avoid him. Heck, I would rather face some heavyweights than him.
You need to read Louis' quote ,watch the fight ,and watch Dempsey against Willard. Willard did not clinch with Dempsey.McGrain remarked upon the lack of close quarter stuff.
Foreman was a beast but he wasn't gigantic. Something freaky to consider, Foreman and Povetkin are actually pretty similar in size. Povetkin was 6'2" 225 and mostly lean muscle against Wlad. Foreman was 6'3" 220 against Ali. Look at Foreman and Chuvalo. Separated by only 4 pounds when they fought. http://i42.tinypic.com/2qvwmj9.jpg
I think Willard actually went to intitiate a clinch just prior to the first knockdown. Before then he'd been pawing from range as Dempsey stalked from range but then Willard throws a lazy jab, goes to clinch and leaves his chin expose which is when Dempsey springs into the attack. Such a great performance, I don't see how Wlad could avoid the same fate based on the footage before the kd.
all you do is jumping like a rabbit avoiding everything. first you told me that you wanted that i prove that carnera fought at wrestler BEFORE HIS CAREER OF BOXER. I DID. and now you change the question saying that i can't prove that carnera was stronger than lewis... NOBODY "CAN PROVE" anything from fighters of different eras, but by my experience in boxing and fan of sporrs of strength i say without any doubt that carnera was stronger than lewis. do you know who is andré the giant? he never trained weights in his full life and was able to move more weight than hulk hogan etc, his frame was wider, and built to carry more weight and support more effort. saying that a guy with much bigger frame and more musculature than other one is not indicative to say that is stronger ... it is just dumb like hell. btw paul anderson was a weight lifter playing to be a boxer. so stop repeating this nonsese "the strongest boxer"
