Oh, sorry. I didn't know you were a casual fan who's never seen a full fight of Ali or Joshua.

FYI, Erislandy Savon who schooled Joshua is the only one springs to mind.

Cannot wait until Wladimir cracks Joshua's skull wide open, so we can stop with these embarrassing nonsensical fantasy fight threads

It's much too early to evaluate Joshua in comparison to the greats.

He's had a very good beginning, but as of yet, he has done nothing to suggest he would have much success against Ali.

When Ali was the age Joshua is now, he had wins over Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Ernie Terrell, George Chuvalo, Zora Folley and Cleveland Williams. Joshua has no scalps that match any of these names.

We'll be in a better position to judge in about ten years time.

If Joshua was EVER remotley knocked down and nearly out to a 180 pounder,he would forever be haunted on here let alone struggle with anyone Ali fought that was nearly 200 pounds..people just don't want to hear it....trust me ,Ali would be a easy fight for Joshua. No non power puncher who cant fight going forward or at least establish control in the center is beating that guy, certainly one who doesnt even have decent body shots in his arsenal to slow him down at least,if you arent a k.o artist, and one who would be EASYILY hit by such a 6'6 elite skilled fighter ,lets alone Joshuas power added to that.

If you didn't have user names for most of the people who responded for Ali,well they would all sound the same and you would think they are the same person which is funny in itself bc dino is probably the worst poster ive come across ( no offense)....illogical, fanboyish and out of touch with no real responses is what they all sound like. Think about it! It is nothing more than fanboyism vs what would be a solid mismatch.!

These fans would probably believe Ali would beat up Superman in real life ,remember that comic book from the 70's? lol

After Joshua's 18th fight he has beat the most experienced version of Kevin Johnson, a guy that makes Terrel look like a concentration camp victim, 6'4 250 power punching monster Dillian Whyte, Charles Martin to become world champion, and defended his world championship two time, and has preformed so well he has stopped every single one of his opponents within 7 rounds, and only lost a single round.
Ali at the same point of his career had just went life and death with a 188 pound, light punching midget who the crowd though had beat Ali, and was still just a heavyweight contender everyone thought would get smashed to bits by a old, slow plodder in Liston, and had lost 7 rounds to complete nobodies.

Ali at his peak between 64/67 was beyond awesome. I like Joshua and hope he does well, but how could anyone choose someone who has beaten no great names yet? Ali out of his prime in the 70's beat some of the best heavyweights ever. He showed so much heart in some of those fights. Joshua has not even fought anybody great let alone had to show real heart against a great fighter. Joshua is way too unproven to be picking him to beat someone as great as Ali. Even if he beats a 41 year old Klitschko it's just the start lol a very long way to go and a lot can go wrong starting with his next fight.

It's always hard to debate with someone, especially someone with an agenda, who doesn't realise how clueless they actually are.

What 6'4 250 power punching monster did Ali have to prove himself against? What none? Exactly there was no such thing back in Ali's day. The level of competition Joshua has to face even as a contender is better than Ali faced as champion.

i'm not talking about which 6ft 4 power punching monster Ali might've faced, i'm saying Dillian Whyte is definitely not a "power punching monster" so your point is irrelevant in this context

If you gave the Zaire Foreman the body fat of Dillian Whyte, he'd have probably been above 250 lbs. I guess Big George wasn't fat and sloppy enough to be considered a monster back then, huh?

So what if thats what Lennox said. Do you take everything as literal? He may well have been being polite. Do you think Lennox would have been saying that if they had of both been around at the same time, because I dont and dont doubt that Lennox would have won.
As for Cooper of course I have heard the saying but I dont think Coopers punches carry anywhere near the power of Joshua and Coopers KO% leading up to the Ali fight doesnt suggest he carries that power.

I do always say every fight is different and just because a boxer gets put down in one fight against a fighter doesnt mean he cant go the distance against a bigger puncher in a different fight but still feel Joshua would be far too strong

Joshua wouldnt need to gas out in this fight. He wouldnt respect alis power. Just standing in the center of the ring snapping out jabs. Drop him in later rounds.

LOOOOOL ... General is sometimes a riot. :risas3::risas3:

There's questions as to whether AJ gets past a 41 year old Wlad, nevermind a prime Ali. And I'm not even particularly an Ali fan.

Guys, get a grip, ffs. :copas: Lay down the bottle.

AJ is something special. Yes, I agree. But he's essentially a still a noob.

Give it at least 5 years / 15 fights against better opposition, before getting too excited. :cool1:
