Kalambay very underrated fighter in my opinion. Wins over mcallum , barkley and bomber Graham. Freak one punch ko loss to nunn which would never happen again probably. Against benn of the de witt and barkley fight s. Would kalambay have to much ring IQ for Benn or would nige blast his way through?
The Kalambay that beat McCallum clearly decisions Benn. Far too clever. In fact, the McCallum that lost to Kalambay also beats Benn. (Probably by stoppage)
The Benn that beat de witt and barkley was lethal but wild. Kalambay would have to be on high alert against this one. But I think he could do it, keeps cool and on the outside side with plenty of jab work. But if Benn gets a shot in then will take all kalambay s experience and savvy to get through cos Benn was like a animal.
Eubank made it look quite easy and he was very flat footed. Sumbu should win but Benn us only ever one shot away from winning.
That's correct and I stated in my opening post that he s under rated. But on the other hand kalambay would still have to be vigilant against Benn. He was a lethal puncher.
It certainly was competitive but Eubank looked in control and it seemed that Been needed to land the shot to win because he was being out boxed.
Kalambay had an elusive style...but never was he untouchable. I think Benn would be behind on points...But if you watch Benn he had a very quick right hand counter over jabs...I think Benn would find him and take him out.
Let's not forget Watson made Benn look like a total amature and Kalambay was considerably more skilled than Watson and I don't think Watson hit all that much harder. Sumbu UD and quite an easy one IMO.
Watson and Kalambay are different styles entirely. I'll agree to a point...if it goes the distance Sumbu takes the decision...I just think Benn drops a hammer on him...and stops him.
