Moving to middleweight, I feel like he may have the strength and the physique and a pack in his punch that could make this a very intriguing match up. Am I crazy for thinking this? Jermall is very talented and his brother who's still at 147-154
i think thats a fair assesment depending on how things go though this could make a heck of a fight sometime around mid-late 2018...and also...depending on how things go it could be one in which charlo is a favorite
I don't like his chances, but that being said he has about as much as a shot as anyone else at 160. I think Korobov would actually have the best shot at middleweight, but I'm basing that strictly off of his win over Golovkin in the amateurs that I haven't even see for myself and have only heard about it. He hasn't done anything in his pro career to make me think this, but at the same time I don't write him off like a lot of people seem to do now. I hope his fight with Ramirez goes through. I don't think Charlo will ever cross paths with Golovkin.
Could be charlo was underrated by alot of people at 154 he has good skills size and pop he also has a mean streak.
If he moves up he would be a live chance.....Quite frankly there is no threat at Middleweight to GGG at the moment.!!!!
I actually agree that Korobov would have a better shot, IMO Charlo skill-wise is not at the same level although physically he's impressive. Korobov btw was an even better amateur than Golovkin, but Golovkin beat him 19:10 in the one time they fought in 2003.
i still get slightly confused with the charlo brothers. but there both good n if im not mistaken one is more of boxer and the other is more willing to exchange but honestly they look so alike n there names so similar that i think i get all there fights meshed together n confused. the one who just fought j rock i think is maybe the better one if hes the same one who also fought k9 then im more familiar with him n that one has some power. and at 154 he was huggee and i still think he will be a damn big 160 . would love lara to move up in weight with him n them to get it on at 160.
What the **** they only fought once? I thought they fought in the olympics where Golovkin won and then again at some other point where Korobov won. By the way, who did Golovkin even lose to in the olympics?
Honestly they almost certainly fought more than once, given the number of bouts each had, but I am unable to find any record of another fight between the two. Maybe @Serge would know. Gaydarbek Gaydarbekov beat Golovkin in the gold medal match at the 2004 Olympics.
I think it would be competitive but GGG shots will begin to have effect in the late rounds, allowing ggg to tko or win the later rounds easy and cruise to md
