It's a tough sport but boxing is still a sport.

If saying i don't like sportsmen bragging they are going to kill or seriously harm someone all in the name of hype for a PPV then i guess i'm PC!

Despite what some think I think Haye's basically an ok bloke who's basically a bit dim.
Especially in a fight that's a clear mismatch he should put his brain into operation before opening his mouth.
Having said that the hypocrisy of Hearn who knows this is a mismatch but is quite happy to reap the rewards is choice.

GOD there are some absolute moronic hypocrites ITT. Bellew started this. Bellew was the one after his rant at the BJ Flores fight who spat on Haye, all caught on camera. If someone spat at me I would have no issues putting them in a coma either.

What a lot of people seem to forget is this fight is a JOINT promo, Matchroom and Hayemaker. Every single penny spent on PPVs Haye gets a massive cut, Bellew doesn't. Haye is far from dim.

Bellew has taunted, goaded, insulted and lambasted his way into a fight that HE has wanted. He's been dishing this **** out about Haye for months and yeah, finally Haye has lost his ****, but seriously, the way some of you are going on its like Bellew is the good guy in all of this. Bellew has basically ****ed with the bull and now he's gonna get the horns.
I do agree that a lot of what Haye has said is distasteful and potentially damaging and extremely dangerous if the worst should happen but, although they are professional sportsman they are also fighting men and with fighting men there is a line that you just don't cross. In this instance they have both over stepped the mark....expect fireworks.

People seem to be acting as if it's the first time a boxer has stated they are going to/want to hurt their opponent. I remember Mike Tyson saying that he liked the feeling of pushing his opponents nose into their brain, like it or not boxing is a violent sport and always has been.

You sound like a 12 year old who has been held back a year. ''Bellew started it''

Show me where Bellew spat at David Haye? Should be easy, since it was ''all caught on camera''

There's an old saying "be careful what you wish for"

Bellend is the one who started all this & wanted this fight & he's constantly mouthed off about Haye being a bad dad to his kid,bad husband etc etc so Hayes had enough & wants to finish his career!

Haye can be a nasty fecker when provoked & now the scouse gobshite is going to get everything he deserves & Hayes probably now in Ivan Drago mode "if he dies,he dies!"

Don't be surprised if Haye actually backs off when he has Bellend hurt several times & prolongs the beat down he's going to give him.As for Eddie Hearns whinging that Haye has broken boxings code of conduct, then he should have a word with his own man first who started all this because if you're going to get personal with Haye, then you should expect the worst!

You should get yourself a job or a girlfriend instead of sitting in front of your computer all day pretending you know about boxing.

You can suffer a brain injury from a single blow too. Sometimes, that single blow doesn't render someone unconscious and they continue to fight albeit their cognitive functions are dulled somewhat and they are unable for example to judge distance, timing, make sound logical judgments during a fight etc thus they go on to substain more punishment.

Fighters know the risks. They know there's a chance they could suffer a life changing injury in that ring. For one fighter to use this as a psychological advantage in the way that Haye has, is inviting even more criticism from people who wish to ban our sport and it is breaking an unwritten rule of conduct.

Has anyone got a copy of this code of conduct that Haye has broken?

Distasteful for sure but we all say things we don't mean when angry.

I've enjoyed the build up, Haye's anger has been raw. Personally I think he's hurt that Bellew and others think he has a chance and that is what has riled him. Not to mention bringing up his family and personal life.

Bellew has been guilty of his fair share of wrongdoing too.

I agree. Bellew talking about Hayes ability as a father and his divorce is out of order. At least Haye has never stooped that low. No wonder Haye is losing his rag.

Bellew and Hearn are both a ****ing pair of raging hypocrites. Has Hearn not learnt his lesson after Whyte-Chisora nearly being called off? So he then goes and invites a bunch of twats to the press conference to deliberately wind Haye up singing songs about his personal circumstances. Who wouldn't lose it after that? Hearn does not care about the safety of his fighters. Not one bit.

Bellew telling Haye to not swear as there was children present was the best one. Five seconds after telling Haye to **** off.

Bellew trying to play the good guy telling us every 5 minutes how good a dad he is. I'm sure he is and so are millions of others around the country. Get over yourself.

When I say dim, I don't mean lacks intelligence Haye is actually quite articulate.
He just comes out with stupid stuff now and then, a little bit dim!

Hyping a fight is one thing but Bellew crossed the line by bringing Haye's kids into it which shows him for the scumbag he really is. Haye is well within his rights to want to seriously hurt him and so what if he doesn't mind saying it publicly. If someone called you a bad father, mocked your kids, made fun of their mother and the fact you're getting divorced, how would you feel? I know myself I would be quite happy about smashing that persons head in and seeing them being carted off in the back of ambulance.
