He's often portrayed as a fancy dan with no heart, but how many would have carried on with an injury that effectively gave him no chance? I reckon he would have gone the full 12 without the towel coming in. He didn't even take a clean shot when he went through the ropes. I feel there's a fair bit of gloating going on at the moment, but he deserves massive credit for the heart he showed there.

I think so too. People act like it's easy. He also risked getting KTFO by a Cruiser. He could have easily retired because no one would bat an eye at someone retiring with a leg injured that badly.

I have lots of respect for haye now, hate when haye is disrespectful but found out he has a lot of heart and tremendous courage. Fair play to Haye

Fcuk Haye. He doesn't deserve any credit. It was a cherry pick gone massively wrong, and now he's reaping exactly what he's sown over the years.

    Gloat? You bet I am.

If you actually get him in the ring, yeah, he has heart. He has shown it before a few times. However he has defrauded the public so often, I can't give him credit. Ultimately even HE thought he was going to get paid obscene money for another mismatch tonight, and he may well have stuck in there as long as possible as much out of embarrassment as anything else.

He's kind of like Riddick Bowe. People call him a ***** for not fighting Lewis, but when he was in the ring, he had massive heart.

Oh yes of course he deserves massive credit for his bravery, no doubt about it. It is the fact Haye has clearly slipped so much with his speed and reflexes. He can't get that back, no boxer no matter how good has. Haye showed in the first two rounds that he does not have the tools a small heavyweight needs to compete at the top level.

There is an element that a 'path of least resistance' pick has gone wrong. That aside Haye looked poor and is done. No rematch he is done. For good.

He did try and fight on so respect where it is due. He could've quit but tried to fight through it. Can't fault him for that and he deserves credit.

I think he could still compete if he took it seriously enough (maybe not now with the injury). He was always a cruiserweight fighting at heavyweight. All the people saying Bellew did a number on him have no shame, though. I could have beat him on one leg.

Haye would win the rematch just as he would have won this. But I agree, he should retire. There's not much to gain from beating Bellew, and Joshua is too big, as is Fury.
