    All he had to do was hit Haye and he was done. Weight and being a legit HW were irrelevant. The suggestion that Bellew's game plan was to fluke a once in a lifetime injury is laughable nonsense. He hoped to take him deep, definitely, but he wanted that because he thought he would take Haye out in the later rounds. If his plan was to do that against a Haye with two legs and he did actually get him into that territory and in worse physical condition than probably anyone he's faced this decade, why did he not just finish the job?

    Bellew knocked Haye out of the ring and his corner threw in the towel. How in the hell is that not finishing the job?
    I told you it took longer because Bellew is not a big puncher and not a Heavyweight. And he had to be careful because it would be really stupid to end up getting ko'd by getting careless.

    Bellew said from the start that Haye folds in the middle rounds and that was his plan to defend and drag him into that territory. He caused Haye to injury himself with his many big misses and his gameplan worked out perfect.

    But seriously, as much as I dislike Bellew, as I said earlier in the thread, that's the second time he's proven me wrong where I was convinced he was going to get smoked.

    Remember Haye was screaming at the top off his lungs to the scouser fans in the Liverpool presser "I hope you fking ******s all bet your money on your favorite boy Bellew, put your money where your mouth is". Famous last words :lol:

    The leg injury (if there was one) notwithstanding, Bellew wasn't supposed to survive the first couple or three rounds, much less be on even terms after six.

    Yes I know, hence why I said I gave him a lot of credit for the win. I expected him to fold like a cheap suit as soon as Haye cracked him flush.

    Bellew had a tight defense in the beginning, great gameplan.

    He learnt from the Stevenson fight.

    Hearn should get out the chequebook and get him to the UK for the rematch at Cruiser. Watching Chickenson get KO'd would make 2017 a great year.

    He's very good at twisting and turning away from shots and as you say he had a great gameplan. I don't like him but he's a good fighter and he does have a big heart and a very dangerous left hook when he lets it go with all his weight behind it.

    Said Bellew's chance was to wait him out and literally step on his toes to win late. Haye's comeback has been one of the more recent example of a running, or should I say hobbling, joke.
