Keith "Run Time" Thurman is a fraud *** fighter

I kind of agree. He does appear slightly overrated although he seems to find a way to get the job done. Having said that I thought garcia was poor except when thurman planted his feet and stood still, we'v seen many times now that garcia cannot handle movement his feet are too slow and he doesn't cut the ring off. He needs to learn how to cut the ring and pin his opponent on the ropes... he only does anything effective in the centre of the ring when his opponent stands still

Pbf is a defensive counter puncher that's not his style. With that said he has come out and took control early like against canelo and pac more recently.

 

What do you people see in Thurman? Porter beat him and now he gets the benefit of doubt against a gift master in Garcia while running from the smaller, weaker guy all night. Just goes to show who the boxing establishment wanted to win that fight. This guy is so manufactured it makes me sick.

 

I agree that Spence will win that fight but then Spence is truly special, gifted. That doesn't mean it will be a cake walk for him against Brook but Spence is super talented.

Back to the Thurman-Garcia fight. Thurman clearly outpointed Garcia. Garcia looked awkward and slow and Thurman was very smart the way he stayed away from Garcia's big, sneaky right counter. Even though Thurman played it safe late in the fight I am appalled the one judge, Morgan, gave the fight to Garcia. If Garcia had been given this decision there should have been an inquiry, because Thurman was clearly the superior fighter.

 

Yup, Thurman was masterful in the first 9. Really was good stuff by him.

He's really good, but for him- I probably like him a lot more outside the ring than inside.

Although I think he's also really good inside as well, there are just some things about him that may stop him from breaking through to the casuals.

 

Really? As aggressive as Thurman attacked Garcia? With that kind of intent in his punches?

Honestly, I don't remember those fights like that.

tonight Thurman started fast and aggressive, landed some huge shots and realised Garcia wasn't going to fold and boxed and coasted his way to a decision and to be honest what should have been a comfortable UD.

 

He ran a little more in this fight today then I've seen him do in any other fight, but Keith can fight when he has to, and he can box when he has to. I won't bang him up too much over this performance, as he knew what Danny was capable of.. I didn't like getting reminded of the De La Hoya bicycle marathon I'll tell you that.

 

I thought Mayweather was very aggressive against Ortiz in the first, actually almost every round, especially the 4th.

He was landing huge right hands on Ortiz the entire evening.

The other two less but yeah the first round was epic from Thurman. I wish he kept that up but he'd be giving Garcia way more chances than he needed to. He boxed well tonight, can't take that away from him. But the last 3 rounds, kinda dodgy stuff there.

 

Thurman was moving like he did in the last three rounds because that's what his corner advised him to do. First they advised him to go out there and beat Danny's ass and he did that to. Does any one actually think that he was scared to engage Danny. Get real. He outboxed and out punched Danny all night long and Danny and Angel knows it.
