Lol we had that he's not a middleweight and needs to grow into his body and then we had GGG needs to fight better opposition before Canelo fights him, then we had ill fight him at 160 for no belts even though he was the lineal WBC champ at the time and who could of predicted he'd drop his belt to avoid Golovkin. we shall see what's going on after both guy all being well win their next fights,I don't think 15million is a bad offer but let's see how concrete that offer/contract really is when it counts,in other words if Canelo wins there's no excuses to avoid a September fight with Golovkin, none whatsoever cause any rematch with Chavez can be made later,GGG will let Canelo do his A side thing and will take his B side lot of that I'm sure and if what Loeffler has said is true they are close to making a deal anyway. You know what's ironic?if Canelo truly thought GGG hadn't been in with any decent comp yet then why has he not just fought him yet as it should be easy work right? One thing I've not heard from any of Canelo fans on here is how you breakdown Canelos chances of beating GGG,you mention PPV figures, good business decisions and A side and Bside but why not explain how Canelo copes with Golovkins jab or failing that how he deals with a guy who fights for three minutes of every round with no rest breaks in between,I used to think Canelo could give him a good fight but have since realised that it probably is a mismatch anyway.
but he lost a split decision to the thing and got tko'd by thor. throw in lucas cage and that is the new fab four.
Why the hell, would he let Canelo make considerable amount of money and put his belts on the line while he himself only gets "bigest payday of his career". Money isn't everything to some, you know, but that doesn't mean he will let people scam him like that and get nothing of worth (in his eyes) back. If Canelo would have a strap, this would be totally different story. He doesn't need this fight or the crap that comes with it and he doesn't give in on this "superstar" or "I'm A side cuz' I'm famous" crap. I want to see this fight as much as the next guy, but blindly bashing someone for not doing what you want him to do is stupid.
when asked why he wouldn't fight ward at 168, by Stephen a, golovkin himself said "im 154-160lb fighter".....
he said 160 for mayweather.....ward did...now let me break it down for you Floyd mayweather has said 160 is too far for him...that hed never go there...Floyd mayweather has never tried to make a fight with a 160lb fighter....ever....never sent an offer or a contract to any 160lb guy...so in reality...fighting Floyd at 160 means nothing because its pure fantasy and would never happen golovkin has tried to fight froch and chavez...even agreed to his end of deals....his promoter/manager loeffler has floated the names of degale, zurdo and even Hopkins at one time or another....thus the reality of golovkin fighting at 168 is real and has been agreed to on his part andre ward could say hell fight Floyd at 161 on Uranus....it doesn't matter....it was never going to happen...it was pure fantasy
Top names Ward , Lara , Canelo , Jacobs , Eubanks are all available to him. You mean he couldn't secure the fights he wanted against C-levellers who were on their way out like Sturm , or retired guys like Froch , or blown up welters like Cotto??
it still amazes me how many dolts reference ward saying "160" for mayweather....as if that had a snowballs chance in hell of a shot of ever happening ggg/ward was realistic...till ggg clucked his way to dom wade and kell brook
Not as hilarious as this asinine assumption, probably 2/3's of GGG's fanboy's couldn't care less about Pac before or after they became GGG fanboy's. I like Pac, but I rooted for Margarito to KO him, and Algieri and Vargas over him, so I wouldn't call myself a super fan. Most GGG fans are GGG fans, try not to hyperfixate on the ones who want him to face Mayweather, most true GGG fans have little interest in seeing that fight.
ehh...I dunno man...I think a lot of pacs fans have gravitated towards golovkin.....the ones that still follow boxing anyway
