It's hard to say if Angel is. From that video with Thurman he surely sounded like it, but if you watch most of his videos in the gym he jokes and is friends with a lot of black guys. Maybe it's something he learned from his father, the N-words come out when he's angry.

I remember Roach calling Ariza and his group "dirty mexicans" in the Rios fight. Is Roach racist? Roach has trained many hispanics.

Just seen the fight on YT. I didn't see that kind of running TBH. I gave Thurman the round 12, thought he did the cleaner work.

 

I have a number of Black friends. I don't use those words nor insult Black people with those words. I vehemently hate the N word and I find extremely sad the widespread usage of it amongst Black people in America mainly.
Angel probably gets away with using it with Black people because he's a hood rat, but those words were intended to be racist. He overstepped the line but with Demographics, it's not a race, it's a cult - people will throw their own races under the bus to preserve the cult.

I don't know what it will take to give Thurman the respect he deserves. The guy can bang, counter punch, fight on the back foot, has a good chin. As far as Garcia goes, he is a WAY better boxer than I thought by the way he was dodging the punch and moving in the right. He was not his old self flatfooted last night. Great fight IMO!

 

He gained my respect last night. I just can't stand it when he talks so much. He tries to convince everybody he's the smartest boxer in the world.

 

Yes but when you do boxing, you need that self confidence...

Thurman has more layers than just being a mouthpiece and knocking dudes out. Keith also can box... the total package man. Except change Thurman is the new guard
