Canelo has only been protected from other Middleweights while he was holding that belt, his career before that has had him in with some tough opposition. But while I say that, all 3 of them, Wilder, Stevenson and Canelo were or are holding the WBC belt. Its the WBC who are just criminal.

The thread asked" Who was the post protected in boxing" ? I merely answered it. Retired ?? he should have been banned for life

The thread title asked "is" not "was". But carry on with your hating.

Rodriguez was one of Ward's best wins?

I mean.. if you want to go down the line to like his 7th or 8th best win maybe?

Throw Bellew in there. Was supposed to face winner of Durodola vs Briedis after getting the vacant title, managed to "defend" the belt against Flores instead and successfully avoided mando again by fighting Haye.

I do not hate him, but on the other hand I have absolutely no respect for him as a boxer or as a human being. He had the skills to be an ATG but lacked the stones

Adonis has actually fight a couple mandatories. He fights at least one a year. He does the minimum to keep the belt, but he has been fighting his Mandos

Stevenson would have lost to froch, kessler, ward at smw, hence why he moved up.he won the title against dawson who wasnt all that, since,he has showed no ambition to prove this theory is wrong.hes got his little niche in canada and he isnt risking it anytime soon nor has he to date

    Stevenson, Wilder ... agree

Canelo gets too much hate here. He has one of the better resumes in the modern era. I think the GGG fight is really about promoters thinking GGG deserves more of a share. Canelo had $5M guarantee against Floyd, while Floyd was guaranteed over $40M. Think about that. Why does GGG's group think he deserves close to half against Canelo while Canelo sucked it up for 1/8th of Floyd's salary?

Wilder is the most protected fraud champion in boxing history! Adonis Chickenson is well protected as well, but not as much as Wilder..........................

El Pollo gave up his title rather than fight his mandatory Golovkin, that speaks for itself!

One of most wasted potential from a champion.
Deserves his superman moniker when he blasted Dawson in one round, since then has been hiding behind his promotional company.

I take exception to that comment, sir!

Wilder specializes in risk avoidance. He has a Masters in the subject.
