I'd pick Gracie over Woodley though.

    It shouldn't do.

Gracie's BJJ is superior to Woodley's wrestling.

Tyrone has a huge advantage in his feet but I fully expect Gracie to take him down and seek out a submission from the ground.

you are looking like a fool on here!

The only footwork Ali basically did was the back pedal and he WOULD be back pedaling against Joshua. This ISNT BETTER footwork ,this is simply moving around and avoiding to win a fight. What exactly would that add for him against Joshua? Who is great at keeping distance and can cover a WIDER range of ground with explosive movements? If he fought like that TODAY,the judges would NOt give him points like they did in HIS era. His footwork (Alis) would be MUCh more effective had he had better defense for advanced counter punching ( HE DIDNT have a great defense) AND CERTAINLY NOT SOMEONE WHOS GOING TO BE bigger WHO CAN ACTUALLY THROW A JAB LIKE Joshua.

You KNOW you’re facing a dangerous fighter when you see him walking you down and calmly slipping and rolling under your shots, this is what Joshua DOES. The better skilled are usually walking and not jumping and just avoiding. BETTER boxing footwork is able to USE the smallest range/distance possible where they can still punch a target while being out of range. Boxing is about PUNCHING to get those POINTS isnt it? The MORE you are moving OUT of range the LESS punching you are doing. Less movement requires LESS energy....

Ali would be moving aimlessly all over the place ,so please EXPLAIN HOW this wins here? Is he going to keep running and win without fighting? Did you see how EASY Frazier pinned him against the ropes? What about slow Chuvalo how many times did he land shots? Do you ACTUALLY think Joshuas punches will have the same effect?

The hard truth for you is you don’t know what you are talkinga about. Joshuas small step and advanced abilities would over whelm Ali in this department . Without footwork to escape he is then left with a jab to TRY and HOPE for the best, whixch AGAIN would be wishful thinking since he needed the footwork to jab not to m,ention Joshua doesn’t NEEd the jab and doesn’t rely on it like Ali does.! SMH

No one on this thread such as yourself UNDERSTANDS these FUNDAMENTALS and thinks MOVING around alot is better footwork. When ACTUALLY the guy CAPABLE of BETTER distance and ability to cut the ring off and/or move back while avoiding getting hit is the SUPERIOR footwork. Ali had very good balance but if you knew what you were talking about you would know what constitutes BETTER footwork. Ali didnt DEFEND himself properly backing away either which is why he was hit OFTEN. Its all about the FOOTWORK and how to utilize it BETTER to win fights not keeping out of RANGE certainly not against a power puncher you NEED to hurt to keep off you..:dancer2:

I know MMA ALOT better than boxing and Woodley is too strong for Gracie! And Gracie is not the type to defeat a guy like that who would be far to well rounded ...nothing worse for Gracie when faced with a elite wrestler who can strike . i dont even think Renzo would win who is BETTER than Royce.

This type of post just ruins any potential debate.

If you're trolling, it's really not funny.

    If you're serious, then WOW.

How do you expect anybody to engage you?

    Speed: Practically the same?

Footwork: Joshua? Because he can cut the ring off against the likes of Martin and Cornish etc?

What's the point in even taking the time out to offer a serious response?

    It's just pathetic.

A complete waste of everyone's time.

You think he toys with Ali, yet he hasn't done anything as yet.

You better hope he lives up to your hype. Because if he doesn't, this thread will be bumped, and you'll be hiding under your Mum's bed hoping that it'll quickly disappear.

Be more reasonable, and you'll get an answer.

You don't even realise that he'd have burnt up energy trying to time Ali.

    No he isn't.

    What reasoning??

Read the thread in it's entirety.

He doesn't think Ali would be faster than Joshua in the ring, as he believes Joshua would beat him in a sprint.

    How's that for reasoning?

Since when does a sprint from A to B decide who has faster hand speed, reflexes, and footwork IN A RING?

Apparently, Joshua would have just stood in the centre of the ring and Jabbed Ali with ease.

    How's that for reasoning?

Apparently, he has better footwork than Ali, and he's just as fast.

Apparently, he'd toy with Ali like he was nothing.

Apparently, he wouldn't be affected by carrying his huge frame around the ring trying to time one of the fastest HW's of all time.

As soon as you put forward a logical reply to his points, he shoots you down and calls you a notalgic fanboy who reads comic books, despite the fact that as yet, Joshua has beaten NOBODY.

    Is that reasoning for you?

This clown is one of the biggest C*NTS on the forum, and he doesn't even want to debate.

    Stamina:

Joshua was exhausted in the Whyte fight you spastic!

He conserves energy by walking guys down? Who's he been walking down, genius?

How could he have walked down Ali, who'd have been up on his toes?

    A huge mismatch?

Based on...? Absolutely nothing, apart from you wanting to deep throat his c*ck.

We've made plenty of arguments, Einstein. But we've been told things such as: Joshua would have matched him for speed, because he'd have beaten him in a 100m sprint.

Then we have a clown like you saying that Ali beat an old, shot Liston, but Joshua beat the most experienced version of Kevin Johnson.

    Ha!

    F*cking hilarious!

    Superior boxing knowledge?

    Ha!

    No.

Along with you, he's ruining what could have been a great thread.

How can we argue against him saying that Joshua was as fast with better footwork?

After reading that, there's no point trying to engage him.
