Actually plenty. Jefferson, McCline, Barrett, and Mercer were expected to be stern tests. Peter I and Byrd 2 were favorites. Brock, Sultan, Brewster 2, Haye, and Povetkin were supposed to be competitve fights. Hindsight is 20/20.

Oh I certainly would draw a comparision.

Between Lewis and Wlad? Nah. They were similar in many ways, and their differences are counter balanced...such as Wlad having a better left hook and Lewis having a better uppercut.

Given the so called Wlad era was a 20 year period between 96 and 2016..and technically still ongoing. There was some good, some bad...what you would expect on a timeline that long.

So because they didnt land on it ? That bolsters your argument ? Man that's crazy.
What's he supposed to do, invite them in ?
You fight and beat as many monsters as Lennox did, there sure is zip wrong with your whiskers.
    We're into crazyland now.
You can have the last word, my case is stated.
I'm done , over and out.

    No.

He no doubt gets caught early on and caught complacent late on.

Lewis actively sought out rematches though and would have avenged them.

It's tough to say who would have beaten him but it's almost a certainty one or two would have.

Apart from Vitali which SHW did Byrd have particular success against?

Fury can beat old lewis for sure, past mercer almost suceeds just with his jab.
    Fury is underrated.

I can see Sanders, Byrd,Brewster,Haye and maybe Peter giving Lewis some problems

Not only undefeated , but he would have beaten those guys a lot more easier and a lot more impressively than Wlad did.

Example: Lewis dominated Tua. Shut him out. Kept him on the outside.

Sam Peters who was a much lesser version of Tua gave Wlad hell. Bounced him up and down and Wlad had to run , cower, hold and illegally clinch to beat the band just to survive.
Peter would never have entered Lennoxs wheel house and would have been bombed out for the count by an uppercut trying.
The fight would have been criminally uncompetative.

If you look at Wlads best win - Povetkin .. you will see he won performing exactly how Akawandy done vs Lewis.

Akawandy got DQ'd , but somehow Wlad got the victory for fouling in the same manner. Its only fair and logical to say that Wlad would have took a very early DQ loss against Povetkin had the fight been out of his jurisdiction.

Your misunderstanding my argument. Sure Lewis' chin wasn't landed on that often but it was some on some occasions and two of those time he got stopped. In rounds 2 and 5. Not like he was taking a beating over a fight, they were both relatively early.

Do you not see the difference between 2 knockout losses and no knockout losses both out of 2 total losses? Are you mad I didn't say that Lewis doesn't demolish Wlad's opposition without a single loss?

Lewis can defeat anyone Wlad did. The thing with sanders fight is Wlad did not prepare for a southpaw and was highly over looking him.Lewis defeated better fighters than Wlad did. On the flip side Wlad could defeat anyone Lewis fought...barring maybe Vitali who then know one knows for sure who would win based on Wlad fought differently then.

I cant see anyone to trouble Lewis on Wlads resume really besides you know who in April !

    Prime Lennox?

    Yes. Without a doubt.

    40 year old Lennox?

    Money is on Fury.

I think i get the point you are making. I think Lewis' first knockout was a style flaw that Steward corrected, the second was laziness in a fight he was easily winning ( he also came into that fight way too heavy, which was a habit i found annoying later in his career as he became a bit obsessed with power). I think he was more effective when he wasnt so heavy.

Yes of course i mean a good version of Lewis. There comes a tipping point with anyone. I mean Trevor Berbick beat Ali, surely some common sense has to be applied to these comparisons .

Are we talking weight or height?

    McCline and Golota qualify.
