Who put on the better performance? Amir Khan who was using his natural gifts and skill to box beautifully for most of the fight, sure absorbing some brutal body punches and left hooks very well also, but tagging Canelo and beating him to the punch in many exchanges, until the sneaky right put him to sleep in the 6th. Or Kell Brook who was putting up a great effort trying to keep a blitzing Golovkin off him by throwing everything but the kitchen sink until his corner saw him in full retreat and put an end to that exhibition bout in the 5th.
are you crazy lol? if brook fought canelo I would favour him to win by UD matthew hatton said brook was a lot better and hit harder then canelo aint no way canelo would knock out brook he sure can knock out Kirkland and khan but that's about it But if khan fought golovkin he would be flung out the arena with a jab Brook took on the much much tougher fight its not even close.
I failed to see where you answered the question. Let me ask this way. How many rounds did you give Brook Ggg and how many Khan against Canelo?
For his limitations Khan did better. He would get knocked out by Brook and it's obvious he knows that
I had Khan up at the time of him getting absolutely iced, so I suppose him. Brook gets a lot of credit for staying on his feet, although I still think the KD in 3rd was legit and he wasn't going to stay up until the end of the 5th. I only scored the 2nd for Brook, but that was a better round for him than any of Khan's against Canelo. Both freak shows but enjoyable at the time
what does that matter? it would make more sense if both fought golovkin Brook would beat canelo and points and for sure would not get stopped by him
What question are you answering?? I agree, both performed very well. I feel Brook did well in standing up to the bully per se, but ultimately was always too small to hurt GGG. Khan boxed well, and used what he had to try to outscore Alvarez, but he wasn't crafty enough to keep Canelo dumbfounded the way Mayweayther did, and Canelo found Khan's pattern, feinted, and snuck a big right hand putting Khan into a brief coma.
Why does anything we post here matter? Just simple boxing questions to spark dialogue and get different perspectives. A simple comparison of two british WWs facing much bigger and higher quality opponents.
Do you believe if Brook as you know him, also possesed the kind of great speed Khan is gifted with, would he have chosen and executed a more cautious, more technical approach, minimizing the amount of times in Golovkin's range?
I gave Khan more rounds than I did Brook so by that metric I guess he did better. I was however far more impressed by Brook. Khan did about what I expected of him; look good boxing on the outside before getting tagged and giving Canelo a highlight reel KO. Brook stood up to GGG (for a while at least) and whilst he was too small for the job he gained a new fan in me.
