Just Rewatched Canelo vs lara

I thought Lara gave it away in the later rounds. Veryclose win for canelo, but it's one of those fights.

 

I remember watching it cause I was a fan of canelo at the time. but I also remember thinking wow lara got robbed after the fight lol.

 

dont compare lara and Floyd plz i never seen Floyd jump from one side of the ring to the other everytime his opponent throw a punch lmao

 

I'm a huge Lara fan but 117-111 Canelo was fair

I wanted Canelo to win back then (because I gave him credit for taking this fight) but it was hard to score rounds for him. I understand those who say that Lara wasn't throwing enough but other than that even those who though Canelo won should agree that Lara was the ring general. He made Canelo fight the way he wanted, dictated pace and rhythm, and was especially good at setting traps. Canelo tried to work the body but this didn't slow Lara down, so most of these punches were blocked and didn't affect Lara. IMO, very poor decision.

 

As I am a huge Canelo fan, you should read my unbiased and honest assessment earlier in the thread.

 

I had Canelo winning 7-5 Lara overall didn't fight enough for me tI think he earned a decision his movement made is close to score but overall in a fight like that gotta give it to the aggressor, Lara just ran for the most part of the fight.

 

why has golovkin been scared to death of lara? especially last year when golovkin did nothing?
