people are rewatching the fight now after the ward vs kovalev joke

we are told that any round thats anyway close can go either way, and in turn any fight even if its not close can go either way

by that logic unless you kill your opponent it could go either way.

RJJ got the decision in Poland against Glazewski after being outboxed and dropped, so that doesn't say as much as it does in other countries like the UK, US or Germany.
But in this case it was a quite clear win, and I don't know why anyone would question it.

Yes. Wasn't meaning to imply that Poland is a hotbed of robberies, but in boxing you always have to win clearly against the champion to get a decision in his hometown.

Often it is, but Poland just seems like the odd one out (there have been other instances) for some reason, so winning there against one of their countrymen doesn't mean you actually did.
Maybe it's a way for them to attempt attracting more big fights, I don't know.

I think RJJ - Glazewski was a bit of an anomaly though, RJJ was a huge global star and more or less immune to hometown bias or the very loud Polish fans influencing the judges.

I've seen plenty of lower profile fights in Poland go the way of the Polish fighter in controversial circumstances. Some examples: Patrick Szymanski vs Villalobos, Krzystof Wlodarczyk vs Francisco Palacios (plus a few other decisions earlier in his career), Jackiewicz-Rodriguez, Jackiewicz-Zaveck I, Wlodarczyk-Cunningham I, etc. Even Cunningham-Wlodarczyk II was only a MD despite Cunningham seeming to win clearly.

Well between one of the rounds Usyk even admitted that his trainer didn't let him finish Glowacki and forced him to go for 12 rounds.

That's interesting, i remember being a bit disappointed in his lack of power to finish off Glowacki. I haven't seen his other fights to say, but does he have enough power to move up to heavyweight in the future?

I think so. He usually favours speed and movement over power, and therefore does not commit to putting full power into his shots, but he's actually got a lot of power. Glowacki is the only pro opponent who he failed to stop, and he might have done so perhaps if he'd pushed harder for it.

For sure he has power, but if you've watched Glowacki vs Huck where this fight went to life and death you would know that Glowacki can take a punch!

Ogh I also forgot that Glowacki proved that he can be super dangerous in countering so probably thats the reason Usyk didn't try to finish him.

Yeh i've seen that, Glowacki can defintely take a punch tbf. I think i was just expecting the KO because of what i'd heard about Usyk prior. And the fact he was landing cleanly

For how hard and clean Usyk landed without noticeable effects, its
Wishful thinking that he could have stopped Glowacki.
