    Do you know any fighter in the division that would fight Beterbiev for 60k? Probably 20k net income.

    He accepted to take part in the title elimator process. He knew he was getting 25% of the purse bid if it went there.

    Sounds like he has no idea what he's doing. His team sounds very amateur.

    They should have pulled out before the purse bid.
    It's always a possibility the bid is too low, purse bid is a roll of dice. Now Barrera and main event are looking stupid.

    Definitely he was silly to accept it, I can only imagine he thought GYM or Duva would put up more money. That's the only thing I find wrong with Barerra's position he has wasted Beterbiev's time and hurt his reputation by accepting and pulling out.

    I don't think it will be a big pay day, neither Ward or Kovalev pay huge amounts for opponents. His fought Ward once already was schooled, Kovalev isn't a big draw either.

    No worries, I think its abit unfair that contenders still have that split, only champs should get a split like that. Why would anyone take a fight with Beterbiev if they are gunna most likely lose and get paid as poorly as fighting a less dangerous contender. Gym should of matched him up with Alvarez a long time ago then he could of gone for Stevenson's belt.

    well if barrera had a good contract with main event he would have a minimum purse for those kind of fight forcing duva to pay him but duva is a crook everybody knows that
