GBP President Gomez: GGG must not fight BJS in June or it will jeopardize the Canelo fight!

The guy doesn't understand the lineal title can be worth as much as a Micky mouse belt at times. If he doesn't want to admit it, it's his own mental gymnastics for him to worry about hahaha.

G should forget 168, unify 160 and then rule it with an iron fist for the next 3 years. Red is in the entertainment business, that's where he belongs,

I find it interesting that you determine the worth or meaning of a Lineal Title based on the circumstances of how the Lineal Title was won, yet you don't seem to have any problem with the circumstances of how a physical belt was won. The value of the Lineal Title really has more to do with the Length of the Lineage and Quality of the Fighters that were part of that lineage.

 

Golovkin has has **** poor management all of his career. This folks, is NO difference.

Even though GGG would be the favorite against BJS, WHY risk your biggest fight EVER!, your ONLY mega payday AND ONLY LEGACY defining fight by risking injury 3 months before.

Has K2 and GGG considered accidental headbutt cut, possible bone fracture, teraing something etc.. 3 months would not be enough to both heal and then train for a fight in Sept.

Once again these GGGuys making terrible decisions for GGG.

 

Gomez needs to lay off tequila, it's OK to say they don't want GGG to get a cut or injury but saying it's not enough time to promote the fight is shockmaster type of ******ed.
It's been marinating for 2 years and will sell out in hours.

 

K2 and GGG would be crazy to pass on BJS to wait for GBP to lowball them and then throw a ton of money at BJS.

That's my prediction, they are trying to sneak in and grab the one belt Golovkin doesn't have so they can get some semblance of actual leverage.

If K2 doesn't sign BJS before the Canelo/JCCJ fight, GBP will overpay to get that fight and the belt.

If it's at all possible, K2 needs to get BJS in June.

agreed..loeffler in way over his head trying to move a guy here in the states......and lets be real....people in boxing know he ducked ward...they saw what he did with brook...these people don't forget and they see....they are not going to make things easy for golovkin because of this

 

I'm thinking that Golovkin absolutely needs to get Saunders in the ring before Canelo. He needs to shut all the doors at 160 and he needs to make sure that the only way Canelo is relevant at MW is through him. Saul can't hide at 154 forever and the 168 guys will be too big. 160 is where he should be, and if GGG holds all the belts then he can force Canelo to fight him.

Unless, of course, Oscar commissions a new lineal belt and tries to flog it as being worth more than a peso with a hole in it.
