I thought Andrade looked bang average tonight, his footwork was awful, that back foot comes forward with every left hand thrown and I have no idea he bends over and looks at the floor every time punches come his way.

He was lucky Culcay wasn't a puncher or he would have been KTFO.

As for beating Golovkin, forget it, not happening any time soon.

andrade def looks like a victim of his inactivity....but what is most alarming to me....is at age 29 the lack of talented opposition hes faced...im not sure what his sparring partners look like...but its been awhile since he was in against someone considered a world class guy.......he had a huge advantage here in size, offset by fighting on the road, and he did enough but not impressive enough for a guy considered the caliber hes supposed to be....i hope he gets things going in the right direction

Seems like Andrade stunk it up a bit. Would he have have gotten beat down by big Charlo?

Big Charlo would have knocked him out if Andrade gave this type of performace. I know Andrade can do better, he needs to get active again.

The right man won but I think the mental pressure of fighting on the road in his opponent's backyard affected Andrade and caused him to tense up a bit. You can have all the skills in the world but no one is immune to psychological pressure and obviously psychological pressure has a physiological effect and I think that showed tonight. Winning on the road, especially in your opponent's backyard/country is that much more difficult for a number of different reasons.

Andrade was a deserved winner but that was a hard night's work for him - as much mentally as physically - and it was a harder one than he was expecting. You could tell that just by observing his body language. I thought he was a clear winner although to be fair to Culcay a lot of the shots Andrade was throwing were catching fresh air and arms and gloves (did anyone on here give Culcay credit for his subtle defensive skills?). But it should've been easier given Andrade's huge physical advantages. It was a physical mismatch in terms of height and reach and probably weight too as Culcay looked at least a division or two smaller. I've always rated Andrade skill wise and prior to tonight I've always thought he would tool Canelo. However, I think I'd favour Canelo to stop him now.

    Definitely man.
Beats Cotto, loses a razor close decision to Charlo and Canelo.
His one obvious loss was to Lara and Lara can make guys look bad.

But he gets pretty close to zero love here

Trout is a top 10 guy, some people act like a close loss to Canelo, Charlo and Lara make you a bum

Let's not make this about Golovkin.

Trout is an excellent fighter, he's elite. I give any 154lb who's fought him plenty of credit, Canelo and Charlo were close fights, Lara less so, and he beat Cotto. Excellent list of names there. The only reason I would have favoured Andrade over him was that I rated Andrade highly (ok, might have been wrong there).

If he was on ggg's resume he'd get love. Look at his leftovers headlining a card tonight.
