Honestly not sure why it took Hunter until the very end to acknowledge that maybe his criticisms of wanting Diego to be more offensive-minded and 'get rid of' Pucheta early might have been missing the point of what him and his team were going for tonight. Yes he was clearly successful enough with his superior hand speed inside when letting his punches go to score and get out, and yes he could have probably forced the issue a bit more without very high risk, but Pucheta is exactly the kind of guy you plan to go the distance and work on some things with. Look at his record, consistently used by prospects (or at least people with better records) as 'the opponent' and has only ever been stopped once. I'm not sure coasting to a shutout can be too roundly criticized here.

Not the right dance partner to gun for the KO, nor do you have to necessarily "look good", because you're just on the internet stream undercard, watched by all of maybe a dozen of us around the world. (okay the Ring's own hit tracker said just shy of 400, but still, compared with the global boxing community that's nobody)

This is a night to just win, the long & ugly way. Pucheta was a PERFECT candidate for ironing some things out and having a learning experience kinf od night and Hunter should know better than not making note of that until after 7 rounds of boring "he should be more aggressive, he could be trying harder to end this" commentary that just shows he is more interested to hear the sound of his own voice than apply the conventional wisdom of his industry (and common sense) to what he's watching.

Yo this is a legit fight between two electric punchers. I'm pumped.

Also excited to see how Gamboa looks back at 130lbs. They are lining him up to fight Lomachenko....and nobody in the world has the skills to be Vasyl....but any man can be knocked the F out and Gamboa has the speed and power to spark anyone.

I think he'll need more than one fight at 130 before he jumps in with Loma.

ah Box Nation is showing Ulysse. I missed the first 2 1/2 minutes of the first round. Good enough.

Unless Ulysse Jr. gets caught with the ultimate lucky punch he's knocking out Ochoa tonight.
