Stevens too short to outbox Lemieux and lacks footspeed, Stevens is like a lil tank

 

He was awake and responsive as he was being taken out. I think the stretcher was used as a precaution- and I'd rather medical personnel be too cautious than too lax in these types of situations.

Lemiuex remains a factor at 160lbs, and I'd love to see him in against other guys like Canelo, etc.

 

Some people on here will try and find a way to make Golovkin look even worse after that

 

What is Max trying to get Lemieux to say? He was in bad shape? Stevens was winning? He was obviously trying to box a bit and pick his shots, and he executed as well as possible.

 

Lemmy came into the ring 177 with Curtis at 170.

Honestly, vicious ko's like that, usually a fighter takes over a year before they fight next and many times do retire. Just can't get ko'd like that, takes years off your career.

 

There was a reason why GGG jabbed Lemieux's head off because even he respected his power. Stevens shoulda taken notes of that. You just don't stand in front of a puncher.

Lemieux's got better one punch power than GGG. This fight proves it.

 

Stevens is a puncher, too, though. Lemieux has the better chin, though.

 

The smartest thing he did was stay shelled up the first couple of rounds. Usually the Homer Simpson defense isn't the right way to go, but with the way Lemieux was throwing, he might've gassed out by the 6th round and Stevens could've went to town.

Dude couldn't resist waiting and got drawn into a fight while Lemieux was still fresh. Bad move.

 

Yup, Stevens is only 32 so he could have fight left in him but he's been on a decline. I think he should hang them up. I heard he's a Barber and that's what he wants to do lol

 

They almost tried to argue that Stevens won the second round after it finished. Haven't a clue at times on HBO.
