Rumours circulating that Brook vs Spence is off

Yes ofcourse but why are people making it sound like all of a sudden the may20th date it dead it must be because brook can't make weight :S... the may 20th date was denied by eddie as soon as the fight was kind of announced. It has always been may 27th or june 3rd. The latest eddie said was they have applied for more seating at bramall lane wit the council to go from 22k to 29k.. he replied on twitter yesterday saying... "just waiting on final approval from council on plans - hopeful of announcement this week"

 

I don't know Brook's personal life, but he sustained a major injury vs GGG. He took a serious bomb to his eye. I understand that he still said he was going to fight and publicized it, but at the end of the day he has to think about his own health so he can protect his family.

It is what it is. Things happen, but I don't wish harm upon anyone and Spence is probably gonna bring it, and Brook really should just sit it out and do what he has to do.

An internet rumour, like hundreds of pre fight rumours and that has apparently warranted "Brook didn't want it" and "Duck".

What has Brook done to some of you? LOL

We had all this before the fight was made, quite a few people doubted Brook would take the fight, even talk of a move up to 154 after Golovkin because it is widely known Brook struggles to make 147 was a "blatant duck" of Spence Jr even though Brook just fought Golovkin.

Some of you need to calm down.

 

Agree with the post above. Even if this fight takes place, and even if Brook wins he still ducks Spence.

 

If the fight is off, it had to be weight issues.

 

Might be because Khan v Pac isn't going to happen. Could also be because he doesn't think he'll be in the best shape if he tries to make weight. Wouldn't argue with either decision.

 

Someone asked Eddie Hearn on Twitter about this and Eddie simply replied 'No' meaning that there isn't any truth to this rumour and the fight is still on.

 

Anybody else have the thought that a Khan fan or even Team Khan could have started this rumour? I'm not saying they did but it crossed my mind.

Khan's fight with Pacquaio is a non starter and I wouldn't be surprised if they were seriously bitter about it and it must sting that Brook is in another huge PPV fight, a fight Khan refused to take and ended up with nothing.

Khan is becoming irrelevant again.

So why not throw a negative rumour out about Brook, look at the reaction to this rumour on here, Brook getting slaughtered.

Might have been Khan fans, they are normally as delusional and as bitter as he is.

 

I would not be surprised if khan employs pr personnel to post on here, to talk him up and deride his enemies.
