Could someone elaborate on the Morrison HIV+ since 1989 situation?

    I read a thread on here, where the OP made a very convincing case that Morrison may have had HIV and known about it since 1989!
    How would that have been possible to cover up?
    If it is true that he knew about his illness much earlier, how many fighters, sparring partners etc did he endanger or possibly even infect with HIV, through his selfish actions?
    I cant find the original thread but if i do or if someone remembers it and posts the link, you can read all about it

    It doesn't surprise me.
    Lots of unmistakably punch drunk boxers slurring their words seem to get licensed and apparently pass their medicals, so anything's possible.

    He didn't cover it up. He just didn't disclose his HIV status and nobody was testing for it.

    The chance of him having infected someone during a fight is slim to none. The person most at risk would be a cutman and only if he didn't wear gloves.

    I don't think without AZT or similar Morrison could of physically held out against the virus for that long if he was positive in 89?does anyone know how Tommy got exposed ? Dirty needles? or promiscuous life stile or just bad luck.RIP champ.

    He got it from doing steroids. He took meds for a long period, but I don't when he started. He fell apart after stopping.

    He said he got it from injecting steroids, maybe he didnt use clean needles or use alcohol.
