NO WAY it happens. UFC will fight this in the court system before it makes it to the arena. If UFC can somehow co-promote it, then it has a chance of happening. It would be huge for UFC if McGregor makes it a challenge or heaven forbid Conor gets a miracle punch in.

Even at his current age, Boris would have to serve underhand, start all service games at 0-40, no second serve, wooden racquet, having to play left handed and not be allowed to come to the net until it is time to congratulate Floyd Mayweather on his hard fought victory.

 

How would they market a boxing match between what is essentially a nobody in the boxing world Vs one of the best boxers of all time?

They could market it the other way quite easily - "Watch Floyd Mayweather get his ass beat and roll on top of by a little irish man"

 

I'd say McGregor is hoping it'll earn him more than all his UFC fights could get for him in one go, get KOd for his retirement fund and spend the rest of his days driving huge luxury cars and dressing like a pimp - then it won't matter what UFC say as he won't need them.

 

The only reason the phelps fight fell thru is because floyd wouldnt let him wear his lucky speedos

 

I think Connor has already checked out of the UFC mentally...from everything i've seen so far he is training boxing and having fun with it...28 years old...will make more in 1 WWE boxing match with Floyd than he has made in his whole MMA career then will retire...meh...

 

Anyone other than Lara(154(, Andrade(154), Mellow(154), Hurd(154), Brook/Spence, Pac 2, Peterson, Thurman, Cotto rematch(154), or Yeller @155 would be a COMPLETE JOKE TO HIS LEGACY.

Notable exception which wouldnt hurt his legacy would be Mathysee if he looks sensational in his return, Crawdaddy @ 145, Broner(for shiits and giggles) or the Porter should he beat Berto.

 

This is the same as when Floyd, DLH couldn't get out of the clutches of Bob Arum. It took years and then Bob had to get paid off. Dana White has already said this fight will not happen without UFC being involved. I realize Dana isn't the boss but he has the UFC's interest. Where will Conor go after, if he burns the bridge with UFC? I've been a secondary MMA fan and the biggest names Ortiz, Shamrock all acted like they were bigger than the UFC. They were not.
