I was joking. Prime tyson would close the disctance and then just blast him on the inside and he's got way better stamina then Haye.

Haye has never seen anyone with the speed and the explosiveness of Mike Tyson.

If he was affected mentally by Valuev and Wlad, how could he have overcome Mike's intimidation tactics?

David has got a lot of great attributes, but he's cautious.

Again: Mike would have gone at him like a train.

If you look at David's style, he couldn't have outboxed him off of the end of a long jab etc. He obviously isn't a southpaw, and he's not a huge HW who could have overpowered him. So if you look at the clash from a stylistic perspective, David's only real chance of beating him would have been to have been ultra aggressive himself, which would more than likely have ended up in a shootout. The problem with that, is that I can't envisage David being ultra aggressive against a mid 80's version of Mike, nor can I envisage David taking him out. I also think that Mike would have done a psyche job on him beforehand. So I think the outcome would have seen Mike win via a TKO/KO in the first half of the fight.

I really don't see how anyone could have favoured David.

Prime Haye can't be dismissed too lightly, Fury took five more rounds to stop Chisora.

Whilst he couldn't be dismissed, your point is really due to styles.

It wouldnt really mean much in a fight against Mike.

Who were those crack heads that Tyson went 12 rounds with in his prime, prior to the Douglas losss?

    Tillis
    Green
    James Smith

All went the distance (either 10 or 12 rounds)

And Haye would get blown away?

The perception of Tyson being this wrecking machine against every opponent is completely false.

It's a fair point. It's true that he didn't wreck everyone. But they were quite durable, and he was fighting twice per month at that point. That had to have made a difference. Then there's the styles of each fighter to consider. But if we took the version of Mike who fought Spinks or Holmes, and we look at David's style, realistically, what would his chances have been? Personally, I think Mike would have intimidated him before the fight. Mentally, David isn't the strongest. What would have been his mindset going into the fight? Whilst it was possible he could have lasted the distance, I think it would have been a TKO win for Mike, if he'd have been focused, fighting to his full capabilities. I just don't see how David could have beaten him.

Haye would never get in the ring with Tyson so it's a moot point.

as false as the perception of haye not getting blown away by a 40something cruiser.

For the record Haye would have been devastated by Tyson at any point in his career. The Cruiserweight version would get brutally KOed due to his chin issues, and the heavyweight version would get blasted out due to his lack of speed. They really aren't on the same level, at all.

Didnt a prime Tyson get blown away by Buster Douglas, who never beat another top HW before or after?

Didn't a prime Haye get knocked out by Carl Thompson?

No one considers that a prime Haye.
