David Lemieux would be the man at 160 if it was not for Golovkin

Right now, I rate Williams as a decent win. Julian doesn't have any top notch wins as a pro as of yet. And until he advances from the prospect level opponents, I can't say it's great. That being said, I do think he has the potential to have a fine career. He has time on his side, so I hope you're right.

Stevens is a solid B level fighter. Also people would be saying the same thing about these guys if Golovkin didn't exist.

Yeah I could definitely see that argument. As far as resumes then the win means absolutely nothing for now, but as far as their skill I say that Williams is right up there with the top of the division. He was actually outboxing Charlo prior to getting stopped and since 154 doesn't have a lot of heavy hitters or anyone else with Charlo's size I don't think there are many guys that can do that to Williams now.

More like C level. His best win is Tureano Johnson. He has losses to guys like Jesse Brinkley, some bum named Primera, and every other boxer worth a damn, that he has faced. That isn't a B level guy man. That is a journeyman, maybe fringe contender at best.

The Prim loss was very early in his career so I don't think that much of it. He's also improved a lot since most of those losses. He is no world beater or anything but B/B- is a fair estimation of him. Granted a lot of this also has to do with how you rank fighters to begin with.

Good point. How I look at the guys in that division. Golovkin is on the A level. Jacobs A- to B+ level, not sure yet. Lemieux B to B-. Stevens in my opinion is a solid C. N'Jkam would be C+. A dude like Quillen B-.

I agree as most guys end up struggling against someone regardless of ranking but GGG just doesn't lose any rounds in the process

    I agree with the OP.

Sometimes there is just a guy better than you are around when you're around. Tough thing to have to deal with.

Lemieux is one of the best middleweights in the world today, definitely top 5, I knew he was an extremely hard puncher, but I was surprised with his speed..................Stevens is a bottom 10 fighter, there are middleweights he can beat, some pretty good ones. I he could go to 154 it would be better, he used to fight at light heavyweight, but he is just too short, so if he could make 154 it would make a difference..............Stevens can punch hard, good speed, usually good chin..............

messi might be...i cant really say....but if you had put someone like allen iverson in a boxing gym he prob could have been a great jr mw/ww.....im not a soccer fan myself but i do appereciate how talented the guys are at the top level...they can do some amazing things with that ball....as far as being raw/natural athletes? i dunno

what i do know is that in america soccer players are 4th rate athletes at best.....americas best athletes dont even consider soccer....

playing in the nfl at the position he does means hes no slouch in the cardio department....but id equate it more to inverval training...lot of stop/start with quick bursts....prob like playing competitive raquetball for an hour and a half against your pal....

i wouldnt equate it to going 12 rounds against an A level world class fighter....but if bosa had trained his body from a young age and did road work...hed be fine....he'd also prob weight 230-240 instead of 270.......in no way do i think he could just hop right in....but if he had trained to box from an early age hed be a beast that could prob be as good as anyone in the HW division....and there are bunch of guys like this in the NFL...

bosa is also 22 and already worth 40 mil...and he will get another big contract at a prime age assuming he doesnt get hurt

Not so long ago people were saying GGG was scared of Tureano ... and that he was dodging Quillen. Stevens is a solid fighter. It's just that Lemieux is better.
