I expect it to do about the same numbers as Kovalev-Ward did. If they can get to 250k (which I think is doubtful) it would be a huge success.
Fights like this...ppv sales don't matter. I always hope that it's a success because it makes boxing look good and fights like this appeal to casuals.
i agree...i just think for golovkin this fight being a success has something riding on it....i usually hear mangers/promoters giving out a number on what they expect or what would make it a success....it seems loeffler hasnt said anything about that
Neither guy can sell the fight. It's just a good fight that can start the process of either of them becoming known.
I don't sweat accounting, you're still mad GGG told Ward to **** off with his demands eh? shocky is a pure accounting casual, talking PPV numbers 4 days before the fight!
yup They're trying to sell tickets at real "Event" prices when GGs never done more than Groupon prices Good luck to them though
Lool that's harsh and not reflective of the truth, GGG has sold out arenas with decent pricing however maybe they have overestimated his worth abit with this fight, who knows time will tell if it sells or not.
I actually think Canelo - Chavez Jr is going to clear 500k ppv buys with GGG-Jacobs doing 200k, which is about a 70-30 or a 75-25 split.
Daaamn Oscars already making money off GG. It won't be much cause no one really buys his PPV but it'll be enough for him to buy a few rounds Smart business move
I guess you mean Canelo vs Chavez, I'd like to see Canelo vs Canelo but that might be difficult haha. I actually think it could well be in the 600k-700k region, I wouldn't underestimate the Mexican fans.
Oh, I see, I think it does anywhere between 1M to 1.2M as long as Mayweather - McGregor does not get made before it.
