Well anyone could keep battering opponents not on their level, although i don't see Jacobs getting battered.

All I'm saying is if hangs around world level long enough he's age will catch up to him and someone will beat him. At this point he cannot go back to fighting sub par opposition so it should be an interesting few more years with GGG.

Withdraw from the fight and beg prime Pirog to replace him, haha.

    That's a good one :D

On topic, everyone seems to reach the same conclusion, earn Golovkin's respect + control the distance, tie him up every now and then, but people have tried that before. 92% KOs...
No way Jacobs manages not to get tagged or run around all night, GGG will catch him and he will land. I don't see Golovkin running in there hot-headed, trying to blast out Jacobs either, so I think we'll see Lemieux kind of performance, G will be the one establishing the distance, braking Jacobs down with well timed shots and stopping him late.

I saw what Pirog did to him...the guy had no defense and no chin....are you kidding? You think Golovkin won't massacre him?

Golovkin would massacre Pirog too. The fighter who can deal with GGG hasn't come along yet. He may never come along....unless someone has a Buster Douglas night.

The Jacobs of then is different to the Jacobs of now and GGG brings a different skillset to Pirog. It could well be a steamrolling like you suggest. It depends how Jacobs and GGG approach this fight, although I'm picking GGG to eventually catch to Jacobs in the middle to late rounds I don't think he will demolish Jacobs as easily as you suggest.

This, you can look at the two pictures and see how Jacobs has physically matured, he's a tougher guy now IMHO.

All the people going with Tyson during his reign of terror pre-Douglas....would you call them "fan boys" as well?

He suddenly has a defense? He protects his chin now?

He might be more responsible against GGG, let's wait and see. I favour GGG too, I'm a fan of his and will be rooting for him, but IMHO it wouldn't be wise to completely write off Jacobs' chances.

RJJ thinks GGG can beat him using only his jab and he knows a thing or too,I reckon he needs to do what he did v Quillin,I'm hoping he surprises us all with his boxing skills cause the reality is that GGG is fundamentally so good and is blessed with power which is why he doesn't lose rounds.

The #5 MW when Martin Murray was the top dog.

Jacobs is #2 while GGG is the top dog.

And I'd like to correct your top 5.
    It would be
    Murray
    Martinez
    GGG
    Sturm
    Chavez Jr
